Note this critical point about that component
Not suitable for monitors designed solely for computer use. (The screen must support a horizontal scan rate of 15.625KHz- most projectors, plasma and LCD panels do whereas CRT monitors dont)
You should be able to find info of the horizontal scan-range your monitor can do in the manual under technical specifications or the like. If not, post the monitor's manufacturer and model number and I'll find out.

The chances are though that unless it has some sort of consumer-video input (composite, S-Video, RGB, SCART) in addition to the usual VGA/DVI/HDMI computer inputs, it will not work as a 15.625KHz horizontal-scan signal is never normally sent through computer connections. And if it does have any of those consumer-video connections, it would be a lot cheaper to use them instead than buying that adapter.

If you have a sky HD box it might be possible to connect it to a monitor with a HDMI-DVI cable, assuming the monitor has a DVI socket.
