Who shot J.R is an easy one
The patio burying in brookie or maybe damian dying or his mum getting raped or Barry killing terrys baby......
The first siege in brookie ( there was about a million of them)
Who stole Vals baby in knots landing and it for me had the best acting ever when Val got them back.
Bobby dying in dallas...it was so sad im glad it was a dream

I dont like eastenders but i liked the storyline with the two brothers about 7 yrs ago waving guns about

i think im too young to remember most of those but i loved the storyline in brookie where the helicopter crashed into the garage and the whole place exploded! i think generally when thinking of great storylines any of the ones towards the ending of brookie were great esp the hanging of the gangster man!

eastenders i remember the tiffany getting knocked down and killed but thats probley just because i am called tiffany too

emmerdale would be the crash that killed butch the bus crash wasnt it? and also tricias death

hollyoaks would be the more recent storylines like the fire at the pub and the clare storyline

home and away would be angels giving birth and getting lead through where ever it was by shane who was infact a ghost lol

and finally in neighbours i remember the crash in which dee went missing on toadies wedding day!

Off the top of my head here goes:

EE

Sharongate - when Grant played the tape revealing that Sharon had been playing away with Phil

Tiffany's death - killed at the bells when fleeing Grant, knocked down by Frank

Arthur's breakdown

(ahh back in the days when EE had decent actors and scripts!)

Corrie -
Richard Hillman - Norman Bates with a briefcase

Alan Bradley terrorising Rita and his eventual demise, hit by a Blackpool tram!

Neighbours

Daphne's sad demise with Des at her bedside

Scott and Charlene get married

Paul Robinson and his love triangle with his wife and her twin sister

There's just too many of them! lol.

The Sharongate thing was a big storyline at the time! I hope the Stacey/Max/Bradley thing comes close to that.

Also Stacey's abortion, all the stuff with her mum, her and Bradley's relationship. Just love them as a couple.

Richard Hillman's killings in Corrie.

Just too much! I love soap lol.

I automatically think of that scene where Tiff gets run over in EastEnders, every time.

EE

NONE (honestli I cannot think of decent storylines for EE and I'm going on decent acting and strength of storylines) The only ones that come close are:-

Mark announcing he has AIDS
Peggy's Breast Cancer

that's it

Corrie

Todd's Confusion/Coming Out
Death of Baby Billy (Sarah Lou and Todd's baby those funeral scenes made cry)
Charlie abusing Shelly
Richard Hillman (at a push)
Claires Post Natal Depression

Emmerdale

Tricia's death
Vus Crash/Butch's death
Zoe Tate killing her half brother

Hollyoaks

Luke Morgan's Male Rape
Tony's Domestic Violence
Baby Grace's cot death
JP/Craig/Spike/Sarah
Becca/Justin/Jake

Brookside

Body under the patio
The fire/explosion
Who killed Susannah?
Jacqui/Max/Susannah's surrogacy

I think hollyoaks has tackled some superb storylines - most of which have been quite believable compared to some of the other soaps.

Camerons OCD and Stephs epilepsy are another two that spring to mind... and there was something about Tony getting an STD back in the early days... they cover so many different aspects that people can relate to!

Brookside

That evil Tommy McArdle stitching up Fireman and Family Man Gordon Jackson, leading to Jacksons inprisonment.

That Court hearing was gripping, and the verdict so unexpected in a pre-internet & soap-mag-spolier era

Brookie - when they buried the abusive dad in the patio.

Eastenders (when it was good years ago) and Tiffany got run over. And I loved the Grant/Tiffany relationship - til it went all sour in true soap style.

Never watched Corrie or Emmerdale much to be honest but sure they have had some good stuff.

Dallas - The ridiculous 'it was all a dream' episode with Pamela Ewing after Bobby died which was pants but hilarious and addictive viewing at the same time.

And currently, Hollyoaks - Craig and John Paul. Amazing stuff from the actors and whole team with that storyline. I am gripped.

I can't believe some of the choices here. How can you choose borefests like Stax and Dawn/Rob/May as the best storylines ever? And IMO recent big Corrie storylines like Charlie abusing Shelley, all the Tracy stuff and Claire going crazy has all been handled quite badly. It's a far cry from when they used to get things right like with Hillman (despite the episode with his showdown with Gail being more like a comedy - 'you're Norman Bates with a briefcase' and all that)

everyone has their own opinions and if they think these storylines were good who are you to say otherwise?

sharongate was my fav. I think it was done amazingly.

Next would have to be Hilman, i thought there was a great build up and the way he ended up killing people was done very well.

Brooksides burying was good.

What about Jon Lindsay the bogus pilot in Corrie and Deirdre being sent down for fraud - Free the Weatherfield One! I loved that story.

Alan Bradley (?) getting hit by the Blackpool tram in Corrie.

The gas explosion in Brookie when Ron fitted that dodgy cooker, and Sinbad being prepared to get his legs chopped off to save our Kylie.
