It's a good song, but not great.
So many comparisons have been drawn with her to Lily Allen, rightly so - considering she has chosen "Foundations" as her debut release. However, personally - when I first heard "Smile," I thought of it as an outstanding tune. "Foundations" is only good. |

I'm the other way round. First time I heard Foundations I had no idea who it was by, so I didn't know any of the hype - I just thought "what a great tune" and turned the radio up. Whereas with Lily Allen I felt the song didn't live up to the hype.

I heard Lily Allen - Smile on a demo, before anybody had told me anything about her and loved it. With "Foundations" the first time I heard it was on Lucio's drivetime as Record Of The Week and the first thing I noticed was that it sounded very Lily Allen, just not as good...! |

I read somewhere that her album is being produced by Paul Epworth. That's a very good thing in my book and I'm very interested to hear how it turns out.
