He must be bloody loaded if you think about it !

He paid £30,000 for Mel's bail, which he now losted (because she did a runner and didn't go to court.)

He lost £1000's on those Poker Games.

He bought Sonia that laptop.

He's paying for Laura's Devorce.. (which i bet isn't cheap).

He must have money to burn.

All that money and he still can't afford a bloody razor. ... why doesn't he just grow a proper beard or just shave it off.... Looks like a tramp at times.

Anyone on low income can get Legal Aid for a Divorce so I don't know why they haven't pointed that out. Mind you, this is Eastenders, where reality doesn't seem to apply.

I often thought Phil must have money to burn! I mean if he has so much money, why doesn't he do us all a favour and move out of the square?!

I know it wouldn't really fit the storylines, but I'm surprised he hasn't moved out into a luxery house somewhere nice and quiet.

I'm surprised the filth haven't got him for money laundering - all his deals appear to be in cash

Perhaps that's how he'll be written out - you can get up to 14 years bird for money laundering

but he doesn't ever do any work at any of them!

what I can't understand is why they needed a nanny and a housekeeper when he's sitting at home all day and so is Peggy

even three businesses don't bring in that much money, and you'd think he'd have bought a new leather jacket wouldn't you

I can't understand the need for a nanny either.

Phil, as a regular ducker & diver needs to be available at all times in order to be in on potential opportunities for processing criminal monies (money laundering). Therefore, needs a nanny. As to why not Peggy, perhaps she is too old (despite her new "funky" mutton dressed up as lamb look). Or perhaps he is cogniscent of the fact that she did such a bad job on bringing him up that he wouldn't DARE entrust little Louise with her

I still don't see the point of having a nanny!

OK, well maybe it's just to add an extra subplot, although she's hardly had any leading storylines. But the point I was trying to make was that perhaps he needs her on hand 24 hours a day because he never knows when a dodgy deal might turn up, and as with all things dodgy, there could be a danger element. Therefore he leaves Louise where he knows she'll be safe.

But maybe the nanny is actually a psychokiller, and we're in for a "Hand That Rocks The Cradle" mad bitch storyline....
