R Kelly - Ignition (Remix)

I'm usually quite apathetic when it comes to r&b, especially with R Kelly I don't really like any of his old songs but this record is amazing, it's so bloody catchy and it's stuck in my head. I do buy r&b songs but only when they have dance mixes on but I think I'll buy this for the original!

This song has all the ingredients of a song that would annoy me - R+B which is all about partying, mentions a drink, hot women, and uses the word "freakin'. BUT yes it is Damn catchy. I feel asleep listening to the radio the other night and this must have been on at some point and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since.

I really like the drum thing that goes on just before the chorus, and who'd have thought the clapping sound effect would be cool again?

Very different to anything R Kelly usually does - and, yes, unbelievably catchy! As ikkleosu says, it has all the ingredients of a sh!te throwaway R&B track but somehow they all cancel each other out and you end up with a song that lodges itself squarely in your brain and refuses to budge!!

Altogether now... "so baby give me that toot-toot, and let me give you that beep-beep, running her hands through my 'fro..."

I don't particularly like any of his previous work and there's also the controversy about his private life (which would be highly dubious if I started talking about it - so I won't) but I really like this track.
