Wednesday 27 June 7.30 - 8pm

Janice (Vicky Entwistle) tries to reassure Leanne (Jane Danson) that she will get her the ten grand she needs. She approaches a suspicious Roger (Andrew Dunn) for a lone but he walks out when she admits that Leanne was an escort. Janice is gutted that she has blown her chances and is surprised when Roger re-appears asking to talk to her and Leanne. Leanne storms out when Roger makes it clear
he disapproves of her but will he be willing to offer Janice the money?

Violet (Jenny Platt) asks Sean (Antony Cotton) to cover for her at the Rovers whilst she goes the doctors but she is very secretive about why she has to go for a consultation. Afterwards, Sean is shocked when Violet admits she is looking into fertility treatment as she was going with the wrong men simply to find a father for her child. How will Sean react to Violet's news?

Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is disappointed she hasn't heard from Pat (Sean Hughes) but Violet reassures he'll phone and tells her to be patient. Jerry (Michael Starke) is quick to invite her for a drink when he finds out Pat hasn't been in touch but she tells him she's not in the mood.

David (Jack P Shepherd) starts his first day at the salon and impresses Audrey (Sue Nicholls), much to Gail's (Helen Worth) surprise.

Cilla (Wendi Peters) is annoyed that Jerry's shop is doing better business than the chippy.

Carla (Alison King) reveals to Steve (Simon Gregson) that Paul has left her everything, including his share of the factory.

This episode was written by Catherine Hayes, produced by Steve Frost and directed by Terry Dyddgen-Jones.

An average episode tonight.

I like Roger as a character and is better than some of the other men i.e John, Derek. The scenes with him & Janice i liked and i think they work well as a couple.

David stuff in the salon was quite amusing

Steve & Carla's chat was quite nice, but nothing special.

Violet & Sean stuff was fairly dull.

Overall...5/10

I liked the Janice and Roger scenes although I thought it would have been more realistic had he refused - it was very sweet to do the thing he did.

Everything else was all a bit dull. I'm not a fan of Violet and even less so of Sean and they are both going to be appearing much more soon

David is just boring me now. He's been spinning them (mostly Gail)round his finger for years. I'll be interested when it all comes to a head.

The other stuff was "meh".

David is easily my fave character. I think he's fantastic. I hope they stick to his character and don't make him all goody goody.

I love the chemistry between David and Amber.
"you wont be cutting my hair?"
"no"
"you wont be going anywhere near it?"
"no"
"okay then."

Janice stuff started alright but ended up boring
Poor Hayley and Carla and Jerry

Violet

5.5/10

Hmm, Corrie's hardly setting the world alight at the moment, but that episode was watchable enough.

I'm looking forward to the Sean story with a heavy heart. I think it's an interesting idea for a storyline, but I find Sean's "dramatic" acting almost unwatchable

Looks like ITV have revamped their site & have completely altered the way that they do the catch-ups (along with the page numbers). They haven't put a link up for tonight's episode yet.

As Malik said earlier, and as I also said, he will be put forward by Steve Frost for next year's best actor in a soap - and for some unknown reason will probably win again

Hello, I'm a newbie here.

Janice's voice really irritated me tonight - more so than usual.

Did we see Mr Wong's face or just the back of his head?

I really enjoyed bits of tonight's episode - mostly the David and Amber scene. I think they're both great characters. I absolutely hate Janice and really wish they would get rid of her (I know I keep repeating myself, but I think she is the most annoying character on Corrie! Big mistake to bring her back IMO!)

Although it appears to be fashionable to rubbish Sean ( & Mr Cotton) I look forward to this storyline

Is Roger daft. If Janice paid him back it would take her 20 years as she looses her job every month or so. I take it she wont be paying the intest as well Wouldn't he have been wiser to have insisted on a 25% share in the business. Better still he could have put in the remaining £20K and had a 50% share.

Where exactly is Miss leanne going to find the start up money and sufficent profit to start paying the other 25%. She has never struck me as being a bit of a grafter.

Yeah, that was very odd.

I'm pretty sure it was a formatting error that slipped through. There was much more space at the bottom of the shot where the text was supposed to be located, and it was totally out of place at the top of the screen.
