Did anyone go to thr Genesis live at Vue gig last night?

Me and My Dad went over to Cardiff(we are in Honiton) as could not get any Tickets for Exeter or Plymouth so got tickets for Cardiff and have to say it was great and Hope vue do it again soon.

Phil was great but on his first song he sang out of tune a bit but got over that very Fast.
It was a bit Strange as people were Clapping but it Didnt sound Right us clapping him when we was not there and have to say well done to vue as this was the first time they had ever done something like the Genesis gig and it allthat went ok for them with no lost of sound or the link.

The only one Prob was that the Gig started 30 mins due to Probs at the other End not Vues end lol.

I got tickets for my partner and her friend at Croydon. She says a few times the video link was lost for a second or two, understandably accompanied by broken up audio, but otherwise it was extremely high quality.

Ah, that might explain why they advertised the start time as 6:20 and nothing happened until about 7:10 when they showed several minutes of an interview with the band she'd already seen on tele some time back. She had been expecting a 'special pre-show' which was also described as having 'behind the scenes footage', so that was either extremely over hyped or never happened. Apparently listening to cinema staff reading out trailers for forthcoming films in disinterested monotones was quite funny though.

Until they release this on Blu ray I wanted to get the 2001 live DVD "Genesis - The Way We Walk". But I can't buy a NEW Region 2 one anywhere. I've tried Amazon, Play, HMV, Virgin, 101, CDWOW, Tesco, Asda, several sites I'd never heard of and the official Genesis web store - Unavailable. Anyone know somewhere else I can try. Must be new and region 2. Thanks in advance.

There's another thread about Genesis at Vue (in Sky HD Forum) and I think they're £15 but £20 in London (Chiseling B'tards).

i went to this with my dad at vue newcastle under lyme - had a fantastic evening.

I agree it was weird hearing everyone clap at the cinema, but this added a nice touch as it clearly showed everyone was enjoying this unique experience

Sound and Picture quality was flawless, we had a few glitches but that is understandable with satelite. Wasn't too impressed with the pre-show, but that was mainly because the picture and sound was out of sync

Really do hope vue bring more events like this because it was very popular - we were asked to fill up any remaining seats next to us because it was sold out!

I'm genuinely glad to read positive reviews etc., but I am staggered that anyone would pay this. I have seen so many amazing gigs - in the flesh - for well under those sums. That's not a criticism, just an opinion!
