Personally I never liked the Timmins family anyway, so I don't really mind!
For some reason they were very popular though, so only time will tell as to whether it was a bad idea to write them all out. Some of the new characters are certainly not up to much. |

Bree and Janelle are some of my favourites. I love them. Axing them was a huge mistake. Although with Janae and Pepper still on he street hopefully they can return for guest appearances.

I don't understand why they were axed at all.
Let's face it - this new bunch (the guy knocked flat by the horse et al) are hardly up to much. |

After Damien Bodie and Ben Nicholas decided to leave, I don't see any reason why they then had to axe Janelle and Bree. At one stage, they were planning on bringing in Janelle's other sons, Brandon and Dwayne, so I don't understand why they couldn't have just done that rather than swinging the axe!
I think it's a really bad decision. They should have axed "the lump of wood with hair gel from Oakey" (Mark Little's description of Ned!)! |

I like Janelle and Janae, but not Bree particularly.
I could see this coming a while back. The family weren't particularly well received in Australia, and even though they gained in popularity, they still weren't what you would call very popular. I think the timing of the show's revamp ushered their exit along. The new family signify the 'new' Neighbours. From what I've seen of the episodes currently airing in Oz, the show definitely seems to be moving in the right direction at quite a pace. Moving away from the 'big' stories and back to it's full on emotional stuff. |

I loved the Timmins family... i keep watching the repeats on UKGold waiting for them to come into it.
I would have prefered them to stay and Brandon and Dwayne to be introduced, but no such luck. |

I can't seem Ian doing that somehow. He probably gets a good pension from Neighbours!

From what I've heard Ian Smith acts more like the "evil Harold" in real life! I loved the evil Harold, I hope they give him another stroke so we can have the dark side of Harold return again! The beer drinking, porn watching, insulting to others Harold was great TV!

I think it's a really bad decision. They should have axed "the lump of wood with hair gel from Oakey" (Mark Little's description of Ned!)! I don't agree at all with axing Bree and Janelle either- both Sianoa Smit-McPhee and Nell Feeney were fantastic actresses and there characters are some of the best to be in Neighbours. Also they were planning to bring in Dwayne and Brandon- but when Damien Bodie and Ben Nicholas said they wanted to leave, instead of bringing in the other two brothers, to join the family, they axed Janelle and Bree and shelved the idea of bringing in the the other two Timmins brothers. I am going to miss the Timmins so much- as they have brought so much to Neighbours and been a fantastic family! I love Janelles one liners which are hilarious- one of my favourites was in yesterdays Oz episode. I think killing off Stingray was a big mistake as he was a great character and if he hadn't of been killed off, there would be a chance all the family could return either together or on their own at one point but seeing what they have done to the family there isn't many chances to bring them back. Now I can only see the chance of Janelle and/or Bree return- to see Janae and as they would still be welcome as they are doing great at the moment. I am glad that Janelle and Bree are going to get a happy ending when they depart Oz screens on 13th July- it is nice to see they get a happy ending before leaving! I am not surprised members of the cast disagree with the axing decision as the Timmins are a popular family and been involved in big storylines since they arrived. Also they were a bit part of Ramsay Street and even though they were hated at first they were soon loved by everyone. They have been so funny at times as well- they have had some great funny scenes- usually involving Janelle- and Nell Feeney has been brilliant playing her! |

Anyway, no the Timmins' should not have gone. They are fantastic and I do believe axing them was a big mistake. |

Ian Smith has always said what he thinks. About his original axing he said 'Actors usually say [puts on silly voice] I wanted to go onto better things, but no, they sacked me' lol

But he's good to look at. I don't mind watching him. Tho I already miss the Timmins family. Stupid Ben and Damien for asking to leave. Don't know how their planning to kepp Janae without the others all the Timminses are really close so how will it work having only one.
I'm guessing she's getting with Ned even tho the character should only be about 16 or 17 and Ned has to be 24 or 25. |

Best line ever from 'bad' Harold.
Lou: We're off later to see a production of 'Hello Dolly'. Harold: What's that? A musical about cloned sheep? I'm a confirmed Ned hater, but I have to stay the stuff he's doing at the moment (in Oz) has made even me like him.

They should have kept Bree. At least Janae is still in it, she's definitely one of the best.

I've read the interview with Mark Little and it's very interesting and true indeed. |
