Japanese Ps3 Dvd Help
HELLO ALL..I HAVE NOW GOT A JAP PS3 AND AS EXPECTED IT WONT LET ME PLAY PAL DVD'S. IS THERE ANYWAY OF GETTING THIS MODIFIED ...HELP ANYONE....please email me at edward.p@gordian.co.uk

I dont know how you have your PS3 connected but the PS2 would only ever output NTSC via a scart lead . In this day and age its unlikely that any device will be completely restricted to PAL or NTSC. I would think there would be a setting to change within the PS3. Its probably like a standard dvd player with PAL/NTSC/AUTO settings. Knowing Sony it will be preset to NTSC so you need to change it for PAL playback |

The problem is NOT Pal/Ntsc, but region code.
Unlike traditional dvd players, there is NO hack available to modify a PS3's region coding. Sorry, but you're going to have to use a standard dvd player to play your dvd collection on. |
