EE - Jim Branning

Anybody know how John Bardon is after his stroke? Is he recovering well?

The writers will have had to change the scripts, again, and I'm wondering how they will explain Jim's absence for a while until he, hopefully, makes a full recovery.

It was in the paper that he has made brilliant progress. It said that he would probably have 6 months off

are they going to write him out part time or just disappear...

As far as the storyline goes, Jim will just vanish, and the scriptwriters probably wont explain his absence

I expect they will make some excuse, it would be a bit surprising to viewers that don't know about the stroke not to see him for 6 months

I think they'll make him go and stay with Sonia and Martin in Manchester

But whenever somebody disappears, the residents of Walford act as though the person never existed

Jake Moon suddenly vanishes - nobody in the vic ever mentioned his absence

Joe fell through the window and died - people of walford never mentioned it, apart from Martin and Dot

When Sean Slater disapeared off our screens for about 2 months - nobody spoke about him

Then again, Jake didn't have any friends except Pat.

Not for the first few weeks anyway

Dot will mention being lonely without him etc etc. Probably be a side thing about how much she really loves him, I don't think he can be forgotten like Jake or Joe (Joe was a huge mistake, and Jake really didn't have many friends)

I would like to see EE have jim go away to see sonia at short notice and then maybe take ill whilst he is there hence is long period of abscence. They owe it to jim to give some sort of explanation
