Stella's in a state of panic when Phil tells her that he's arranged to go and see her parents. When they arrive, Marion, Stella’s mum, answers the door and Phil clocks the strange atmosphere. In the house, Phil sees a picture of Stella’s sister and makes a comment about it, while Marion is surprised to learn Phil has a child. Stella continually avoids her mother's gaze. Marion then asks if Stella's told Phil the truth about her sister - will Stella let Phil into her past?

Meanwhile, Stacey is angry with everyone gossiping about her and Bradley. Stacey decides that they need to get away for a while, so she phones Belinda and books them a holiday. She tells Bradley and leaves happy. However, Bradley confides in Jim and Dot that he's been offered a new job – in Paris.

In line with the smoking ban, Dot has her final fag in the launderette, right under the ‘no smoking’ sign.

Elsewhere, Dot stubs out her final cigarette; and Mickey reluctantly continues with his male escorting.
