Hello all, Can anyone help.Being new to the world of HD I wondered if anyone could assist. I have had a 360 for some time and yesterday my new and first LCD HD TV arrived.

It is a Toshiba 32' Regza and i bought the HD cable for the 360. On the rear of the TV are the blue green holes etc for the lead but there is no yellow hold for the yellow lead?? So 5 of the 6 jacks are connected. There is a yellow hole on the right side of the TV but when I plug the yellow jack in it makes the screen go blank. When its out it works!

Very confused and although the pic is good i'm concerned its not true HD as not sure how good it should look. Can anyone help?

Not sure this makes sense but we'll see

cheers in advance

No need for the yellow lead... that's for the Standard Definition TVs...

What you should have:

Blue/Red/Green plugged in, and then the Red and White Audio ones.

You've got it right.

You don't need to conect the yellow lead mate, that's for composite video. You've now got it connected via component which does give you a high defnition image as long as you've selected 720p or 1080i in the display menu of the dashboard.

There are two things to check:

1) There is a switch on the Xbox 360 AV cable, make sure it's set to HDTV.

2) Make sure you have chosen a high definition format in the dashboard.

By default it wont output in high definition (even with the cable connected).
