I can't find the thread what was talking about this but here is the story.

Does anyone know if its true? I'm not sure how reliable www.soapworld.co.uk is

Exclusive : The Beale's summer of hell?

Wednesday, 27 June 2007

Summer Secrets Special : Ian Beale’s life could be in danger this summer after a new bad boy rocks up to the Square and takes a dark interest in his daughter Lucy.

Walford’s longest character Ian Beale has had some tough times over the years from going bankrupt to being shot by a hit man, but things are about to go very wrong this summer.

When a newcomer arrives in Walford looking for a job, it just so happens that Beale is looking for a temp to work at the Chippy. Lucy, who is going through the realms of teenage angst takes a shine to him.

But one night when Lucy makes a throwaway comment about Ian, could this spark the end for Ian as we learn the newcomers sinister secret?

All will be revealed in EastEnders this summer!"

I wonder if this will tie in with the Cindy rumour?

That was a rumour last year, about Rob Minter.

Sounds good. Maybe a peadophile storyline? How old is she actually?

13/14 I think.
I've been hoping she'd get a good story for a while, she's always excellent as a background character.
This Cindy stuff sounds ott though, surely EE have learned there lesson about bringing back dead characters (Den Watts anyone?). A peadophile storyline could work if done properly though.

Well the Stella storyline has been done brilliantly so it should work with the correct research and writing.

The Cindy 'back from the dead' stuff does sound implausible. The return of Dirty Den should have been warning enough not to get into that territory again!

It sounds a bit silly really. I don't think it'll be my cup of tea - if it's real

Which one? the Cindi stuff or the Lucy one?

I think the Lucy one sounds promising but not so hot about the Cindi stuff.

I liked Cindy as a character but this is surely going a bit OTT!

The Lucy stuff might be alright but I don't particularly want to see Cindy again, alive, as a ghost or otherwise.

I heard about this and i have an idea what it is.

Spoiler
Ian starts to take a dislike to Jays dad, so in revenge he decides that he will get a little to close to Lucy to wind Ian up. The question is, how far will he go.

I hope this is true, at least this would make him a more convincing bad boy, like Cain Dingle for example who bedded Ollie Reynolds.

Dennis Rickman was too morally upstanding and pensioner-friendly to be considered a 'bad boy'!

I reckon that somebody (maybe Jay's dad) will get close to Lucy and find out things about cindy from her (and probably other sources as well) He will then, having taken a dislike to Ian, send him messages making appear as they are from cindy. Make sense?

if a paedophilia storyline was to be done it would really push the boundaries on how far EE could go.

Jase Dyer looks like the most promising character in ages to arrive on Albert Square...
