Power Extension Leads
Hey,
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum! I'm currently moving my living room around, is it safe to plug a surge protection 4 way power extension, into another extension lead? I ask because the power socket is too far away from where I want to put our TV. so I thought I could run a one way extension, then plug the 4 way into the one-way. Does anyone know if this is safe? My instinct tells me it isn't but I just want to gauge other opinions! Thanks! |

It's fine, obviously bearing in mind the overall power constraints though - the 'surge protection' doesn't do a lot anyway, it's more for 'customer confidence' than any real use.

providing everything has the correct fuse fitted to the plugs you'll be fine, unless at some point a fuse has been replaced by a higher rated fuse not suitable for the wire/flex you could be at risk.

Thank you both.
This is excellent news. Yes both the extension leads are brand new so no fuses have been changed. Thank you both again
