I've just spotted this written on the updated entry for tonights episode on wiki
The Ninth Doctor claimed that the TARDIS doors could withstand "the assembled hordes of Genghis Khan". Nevertheless, the Titanic is seen to shatter the time machine's wall

maybe the master just messed with the tardis so it travels to parallel universes where titanic hits the iceberg head on, haha

Didn't the Ninth Doctor comment on his time on the Titanic once? "I was left clinging to an Iceberg", so will he have to avoid his past self Continuity, love it
Actor with sticky out ears.

U-Boat Captain's jacket.

Distant back view/disappearing round corners.

Sorted.

Don't speak too soon, the "band that played on" will probably be wearing santa masks, hooded jackets and be playing brass instruments again. Pilot Fish=Sea=titanic

I was just about to say that! Please RTD, please.

One thing I am really confused about is how they are going to turn Cardiff into the Titanic. If it all set on the Titanic, surely we won't get as much infomation and on location pictures as we did last year?

Seeing as the CGI in the movie Titanic was phenomenal and that was made 10 years ago, The Mill now have one hell of a task on there hands.

Here's some odd things between the Titanic and Doctor Who which probably have no reference but anyway here goes...

Rose got taken to the parallel world. In the film, the Doctor could meet Rose the character played by Kate Winslett.

Rose's boyfriend "jack" could be Jack Harkness and dies, but gets back to life again.

Captain Edward J Smith was the captain of the Titanic.
The J smith could be John Smith, the alias used by the doctor sometimes.

How much do you bet the Doctor will do the front of the Titanic pose with Kylie? Could Sea Devils be involved?

I may be wrong but wasn't William Hartnell's Doctor and companions on the Titanic for a while in "The Chase". Maybe they'll meet up, hope the paradox machine is repairable.
Nope, that was the Mary Celeste. Though the Seventh Doctor was aboard the Titanic for a while in one of the DW books from the early 90's.

Something to bear in mind about the 9th Doctor saying he'd once been left hanging on the iceberg - we don't know that it was necessarily his incarnation he was talking about, it could have been an earlier Doctor. (Waits for the inevitable "Paul McGann could come back at Xmas!!!" speculation to begin. )

I think it fixed itself when time reversed itself near the end of the episode
Time was reversed to the point where the paradox machine was first activated, just after the President's death. Everything the Master did before that, cannibalising the TARDIS and turning it into the paradox machine, had still happened. So the Doctor would still have had a hell of a repair job to do on the console.
lol
yeah
christmas specials don't HAVE to be based at christmas lol!
there just named that because there showed at christmas time LOL!!!
Except RTD is always saying that he hates Christmas specials which aren't set at Christmas, and that his Christmas specials will always have the full works - Santa, snow, etc. Not sure how that will fit in with the Titanic setting unless the story takes place over different times and places.

That's what I suggested in the main thread for tonight's episode, it might be a replica of the real Titanic flying in the time vortex!

From the end it seemed like the Tardis hit the top bow part at the front of the ship :P technically there shouldn't be any water there unless the whole ship is underwater

put RTD on the ship with a one way ticket and I don't want to see Kate Winslet going all mushy when he goes overboard

Was The Voyage of the Damned a New Series book?

EDIT: That was the Feast of the Damned not Voyage
It was "Feast of the Drowned". And very good it was too.

I also instantly thought of that when I saw the title of the Christmas Special.

I would be happy if Ioan Gruffud and Leonardo Dicaprio are there, but otherwise I am sure it will be great, last year the six months seemed to go by quickly

but surely if your floating in the ocean and a huge boat causes a massive hole in your ship you r gonna take on water right ? the tardis walls caved in so the water would get in

True but how do we know the Tardis was floating?? We know the Doctor started traveling through the time hole thing and i dont think he planned on going to any year and next thing he knew the Titanic was sticking from his side. From what i saw it seemed the Tardis was pulled into the year of the Titanic and came out the time Vortex right in front of the ship but we don't know why :P
