Hi
Just read news that Pink Floyd plans on releasing a 40th anniversary set of the classic album.
Disc 1 is the album remasterd by James Guthrie in stereo
Disc 2 remasterd by James Guthrie in mono
Disc 3 bonus tracks = all the Pink Floyd singles from 1967, (‘Arnold Layne', ‘See Emily Play', and ‘Apples And Oranges'), plus the B sides ‘Candy And A Current Bun' and ‘Paintbox'. Other tracks are a version of ‘Interstellar Overdrive' - Take 2 of the original recording sessions, previously only available on an EP in France - and the 1967 stereo version of ‘Apples And Oranges'.

Just wondered if there were any fans of album out there if so is anyone going to buy this?

Released Tues 28th August in North America, and Monday September 3rd in Europe.

I'd certainly buy that. It's an iconic album, very artistic.

I have one of the rare copies on vinyl, the mono release with thick cardboard sleeve.

Its a bit funny there release it on those dates as the 40th Anniversary is actually August 5th.

Wow that vinyl version must be hard to come by!
If only i were alive for that period

Oh, brilliant - I worship at the shrine of Pink Floyd so this is great news to me. I've actually got both the mono and stereo mixes of the album and all the singles, but I'm sure it will still be a substantial package.

I'm not really into Pink Floyd much and I think a lot of the post-yd stuff they did was just self-indulgent dad rock. I'm a fan of Piper at the Gates of Dawn, though, so I'd consider getting this even though I've got the original album. It sounds very interesting.
