As a dedicated Neighbours viewer I am now actually rather delighted that it will be moving to Five, after initially being very dubious about it.

First off, the show is heading for a huge revamp this year. It will be starting a new chapter of it's history, so in a way it's actually tather fitting that it should be finding a new home.

The BBC were quite content to let the programme sit in it's schedule without any promotion. You can't blame them and I don't think many broadcasters would have done anything different because it appeared not to need a big push - it just does the business every day without fail.

But with the network move comes a whole load of promotional possibility. Look at the great stuff Five did with Home and Away to celebrate it's arrival with them. We've got so much to look foward to on that front with Neighbours.

Also, we can finally get ''First Chance'' episodes on digital! I'm bemused as to why the BBC were so slow to pick up on this obvious opportunity with Neighbours but Five definatley won't be dropping the ball in the same way.

A new chapter is beginning in the Neighbours story! Us viewers have got a whole lot to look foward to in the coming months!

But how many viewers switched off Home And Away as a result?
