o2 online billing

As you've probably gathered from my persistant posts, I have an account with o2 on the 'online 50' tariff. I have been using the online billing section to monitor my unbilled usage.

With this tariff, I receive 500 free txt messages and 50 mins of calls. According to the website, these are denoted with an 'F', indicating they are part of the callplan and hence won't be charged. From 11/05/03, however, it appears that I am being charged for text messages, and for voice calls, as can be seen here. I understand from the website that percentage discounts are taken off when the bill is compiled (but free messages and calls, is not a percentage discount - it's a tariff allowance). This would not explain why previous messages (as can be seen ) have not been charged for either. As at 11/05/03, I had only sent 43 messages, and my voice calls time was less than 50 minutes. The start of the billing term was 7/5/03.

Can someone please explain?

Thanks,
Richard.

You should send an email to 02 and explain your problem, from what I have heard they respond to account enquires promptly, nobody else on the forum can really discuss this as we do not have access to your account!

Alternatively why not wait until your next bill date and see if the amount is revised, if not you could always raise a dispute with 02 and refuse to pay the amount in dispute until the matter is sorted.

Just make sure the remainder of the bill is paid otherwise your service becomes restricted.

(The dispute process is one I have used a couple of times during the last year when international calls started appearing on my bill which I didn't make, the situation was resolved within about 5 days and my account was credited with the disputed amount.)

I have just got a contract phone with o2 and i am using the online billing , the tarriff im on is the offpeak (500), 500mins ,50 crossnetwork,500 wap,500 text for £20 a month. When i first looked at it ,i was confused because the bill was going up all the time, i thought they only put the calls that u have to pay for on there, but they put every call on there,it worried me because i got to £23-50 and i didnt want to owe a big bill so i rang the 50p a minute help line up and they explained every thing to me,and that it will be credited at the end of the month ,ive kept records now of the calls that i dont get free so i can check them when the first bill comes, also i think the o2 online help is a lot better at helping and u dont have to pay the 50p a min rate..

i 'm with o2 on their online 50 tariff, it's quite simple really.

in a nutshell, ALL calls/SMS/WAP is "unbilled" until your bill is generated on a monthly basis.

Wish I could even access my bill online - I personally think theirs is one of the worse sites I know for not working properly.

When things switched over from Genie they did an excellent job of messing everything up for me - so for their benefit *slow clap*

media-guru,

I too have had major problems with the online billing, and I have now given up, Everytime I've tried to use I've been told I'm unable to view my bill online, this is after going through all of the registration details. Poxy thing.

another slow clap for o2.....
