Putting aside the latest dubious big storyline, is it me or is Sean taking over at Corrie? He's ALWAYS on, he gets way too much airtime, he gets involved in storylines that have nothing to do with him, Frankie/Jamie, anything to do with Violet, Eileen & the baby, most of what goes on at the factory & always eavesdropping at the Rovers, oh & he just happened to be an old flame of Sonny, Michelle's intended. They manage to get him involved in any storyline they want, they may think he's a "good thing", but there can be too much of a good thing, it definately is in this case, its getting irritating, Last night, tuned into Corrie, there he was,..., I involutary muttered "oh God..."

..And relax.... I feel better now

Well now he's been voted Best Actor, they're going to keep using him as Corrie know he's very popular.

I thought the acting from him last night was abysmal i dont see why they need to have him looking at the floor when hes delivering his lines. I suppose we cant all like the same person but hes a waste of space best actor award or not. Sorry

Ah, best actor, must have even more of him then.
He's just playing himself, to be fair like a lot of the soap actors, best actor is a meaningless award, Shane Richie smug jumped up redcoat got one, as did Martin Kemp & hes flogging sofas & opening supermarkets now(shame as I thought he was not too bad)

I quite like Sean, but DO NOT think he should have won the award for best actor. There were much more deserving actors.

Oh btw Sean has been nominated for Best Actor at the Inside Soap Awards.

I used to like him, I just think its overkill with him now, they've also changed his character a bit, he was initially a nice caring type, then he changed to being bitchy, two faced & a bit sarcastic & nasty at times, which is ok, but a bit less please.

I quite like Sean although I think he's best in small doses. I don't like the Sean and Violet storyline though - doesn't work for me at all. However, Corrie have never yet, and I will be surprised if they ever do, let one character or family dominate all the storylines to the exclusion of all the others. This is one of the things I've always loved about Corrie - they rotate the stories round all the main characters fairly and without favour

Anthony Cotton.

Not the best actor in soaps but definitely OK. A likeable character and an asset to Corrie IMO

Definitely a case of overkill, I think!

Corrie obviously think they're onto a winner since he was somehow voted 'Best Actor' at the soap awards.

I really cannot see Sean and Violet as parents - it's a silly storyline tbh - its just a pointless storyline and is one of the storylines which are lowering the standards of Corrie.....

I really miss the good storylines which actually meant something (e.g. Richard Hillman), but now it's just Antony Cotton and other pointless characters taking over.....

And they'll never get rid of Antony Cotton..... Its somehow in their deluded minds that he is one of the greatest actors in the world...

I have read somewhere that he has "influential" friends & that he's a bit of a golden boy with the powers that be, its beginning to look a bit obvious!

Ha! When you think about the great actors years ago and their acting abilities and then you look at Antony Cotton, it's quite sad to see how the face of potentially Britian's top soap cannot act for toffee.....I'd love to know where he learnt to act.....I say act, but then again, he only plays himself.....

I wonder how he bribes them........

The producers have ALWAYS nominated him for awards since he joined. Now he's won won what he's won at the BSA he'll be nominated for that category every time now. Such a joke. He can't even act. An even scarier joke is he might even win again. Who are these people who vote for him?!

Someone thinks he might have some hold over the producer ... the mind boggles.

It was surreal, that moment. When you heard Bill Ward talking (his voice was so different), and his manner, (he's a lot shyer than Charlie!) he was nothing like Charlie (shows he can act)

When they talked to James Sutton from Hollyoaks, he was nothing like John Paul (he can DEFINITELY act, he's been brilliant, and apart from anything else convincingly playing a gay 17 year old when he's 24!)

And then you saw and heard AC ... and it was like Sean was up there talking, cos they're the same person.

You have to sympatise with real and good actors losing out to that joke. It must have felt ever so slightly humiliating, not to say embarrassing!

As he's playing himself, I think he's just acting like he does in real life. He has been accused of being a bitchy drama queen. The more 'popular' he gets the worse he probably gets.
