Hollyoaks - Tuesday 3rd July 2007
Calvin receives a letter from work telling him that in light of Warren's arrest, his suspension from the police force has been lifted - but he's not so sure that he wants to return. Louise is horrified when she sees the newspaper headline about Warren being arrested for the attack on Clare. When she goes to Drive ‘N' Buy, Sasha insinuates that she believes Louise is also responsible for the attack; Louise runs out of the shop. She decides to drown her sorrows and when Leo sees the state she's in, he decides to take her back to her flat. Calvin spots the pair together and confronts them. He sees that Louise is clearly drunk and she asks him to arrest her. Calvin is confused but Louise admits that she thinks that it wasn't Warren who pushed Clare – it was her.
Melissa is trying to convince Sarah that she is making a mistake by giving up modelling. The two girls were meant to have a photo shoot together that weekend; without Sarah, Melissa also loses the contract. Sarah and Melissa go to The Dog to see Craig. Melissa continues to jibe Sarah about quitting modeling and Craig says he supports whatever decision she makes. Sarah starts to feel guilty about letting her friend down and realises that the money she earned through modelling could pay for a good holiday for her and Craig. After mulling it over, Sarah decides that her modelling career is back on track. Mercedes and Russ return to the McQueen's after celebrating all night. They walk in to discover Leo Valentine in his boxers; clearly having spent the night with Myra. The morning paper arrives and the topic of conversation turns to the probable guilt of Warren Fox in the Clare Cunningham case. Mercedes avoids the discussion and instead looks at the job pages. She circles some high-paid vacancies for Russ. Jacqui tries her best to make Mercedes feel guilty about abandoning Warren. The conversation between the pair is very heated and is only interrupted up by a surprise arrival… Clare is discharged from hospital and having a lack of loved ones to look after her, has had to hire a nurse to help her around the flat. Clare is in bed when the nurse answers a knock at the door. As Clare tries to get back on her feet she's shocked by a surprise visitor… Discuss tonight's episode here.

Tonight's episode was an improvement of last night's episode.
The Sarah scenes were boring though and Melissa seems to be so stuck up and such a cow that it's annoying. I couldn't care if Sarah wanted to carry on modelling or not, though i thought Melissa's comment to Craig was very significant when she told him "I hope your worth it" referring to him and Sarah together. In a way, i'm glad Sarah decided to go back to modelling as she won't be so dependent on her relationship with Craig which is bound to come to an end eventually as Craig is having an affair with John Paul. Sarah won't be so hurt if she learns of Craig and John Paul as she has her modelling career to look forward too. Sasha was also annoying in this episode - i don't understand why she wanted to prove that Louise was responsible for Claire's fall - what has it got to do with her? Sasha should learn to keep her nose out! Though i thought it was quite touching when she went over to visit Max to see how things were with Tom. I enjoyed Louise's scenes tonight and I liked the flashbacks she was having and how she is starting to have doubts about if she was the culprit of pushing Claire or not. Roxanne McKee acted her scenes really well, especially the one with her and Calvin in the street, where she was drunk and admitted she wasn't sure if she was responsible for pushing Claire. Carmel made me laugh in this episode and I liked how she tried to make Louise feel better by saying about that spider comment being in the newspaper and telling Louise she shouldn't be alone - it shown to the viewer that Carmel has really nice and innocent intentions.Jacqui winding up Mercedes about Warren was average, but it's not really moving anywhere at the moment - no doubt Mercedes sleeping with Warren could come out on her wedding day. I liked the arrival of Nana McQueen and how she flirted with Russ at the Dog. She seems like a very colourful character and it'll be nice if she sticks around, as she'll be a good older member of the Hollyoaks cast. It was interesting to see the scenes with Claire slowly recovering from her fall and I thought the ending was class with Max turning up. I look forward to tomorrow's episode. 6/10 |

Excellent E4 episode. Matt and Gemma's scenes were just great. In fact, I wish it had been one of those special episodes with just them in. I am bored of Louise turning on the waterworks now

Urgh tonight's episode makes me hate Sascha even more.
Because Louise had an abortion, suddenly that means that she definatley pushed Clare? Why can't they pack her character off with Sonny? She's awful. This whole giving her a job at Mobs storyline just seems a really desparate attempt to give her a reason to hang around. Can't they get rid of her and give her job to........John Paul or someone?
