Favourite Technotronic track
In the spirit of the absurd that seems to have inhabited this forum, I hereby call on you to nominate your favourite song by late 80s/early 90s technopop-rap act Technotronic. Their hits, to remind you all:
2 Technotronic featuring Felly Pump Up The Jam Sep 1989 _ 2 Technotronic featuring Ya Kid K Get Up (Before The Night Is Over) Feb 1990 _ 14 Technotronic featuring MC Eric This Beat Is Technotronic Apr 1990 _ 9 Technotronic featuring Ya Kid K Rockin' Over The Beat Jul 1990 _ 6 Technotronic Megamix Oct 1990 _ 12 Technotronic featuring Reggie Move That Body May 1991 _ 40 Technotronic featuring Reggie Work Aug 1991 _ 36 Technotronic Pump Up The Jam (remix) Dec 1996 Pump Up The Jam is the obvious one, of course - but I prefer Get Up (Before The Night Is Over). And you? |

Obviously Pump Up The Jam is the one that got everyone started on TechnoTronic in the first place. I remember being on a school trip at the time it came out and everyone was playing it!
But have you tried listening to it again recently in the hope that it 'gets you going' the same way it did back then ? It just doesn't work...! I also bought their second(?) album called 'Body To Body' which had a couple of decent tracks on it, namely the title track. I was listening to it a few weeks ago when converting my old music cassettes to MP3 and it's not that bad an album.... ![]() EDIT: Tons of info here |

Get Up (Before The Night Is Over) has a remix by David Morales on the 12" that is awesome. It is much better than the A side.
