From their Myspace page :

Shed Seven have announced that they are to reform for a one-off Greatest Hits tour this winter.

The Brit Pop pioneers, who enjoyed a run of fifteen consecutive Top 40 hits including the classics Going For Gold, Chasing Rainbows and Getting Better, will take to the stage this November / December – four years after their original split.

The line-up will include guitarist Paul Banks - the first time he’s appeared onstage with the Sheds since 1999. The five piece band will be completed by the other original members Joe Johnson, Alan Leach, Tom Gladwin, and of course Rick Witter.

They were a pretty good live act, I remember seeing them supporting the Beautiful South about 10 years back, and I was pleasantly surprised.

They were never one of the top bands of their time (Radiohead, Blur etc) but they were a good fun band that did makes some really catchy songs which I still like alot.

Music doesn't always have to be taken really seriously and can be there for pure pleasure. Anyway, they are one of my guilty secrets so I'll definitely be there.

Still like Chasing Rainbows, Disco Down and Dolphin!

Shed Seven when they first came out where championed by NME over Oasis, when they realised the tide of popularity they dropped them like a hot stone and started slagging them off.

They have loads of really good tunes but I think their popularity were marred by bad press.

It wasn't cool to like them.

I'll prob pop along and see rick and the boys, I saw them at the phoenix festival (remember that?) and they were really good
