It seems either Danielle or Amber might have done well on Power 10 game show since Julie announced - "We wll see how ONE of them had done on Power 10" as opposed to how they BOTH did on the show etc. etc.

The clip they showed of Dick burning Jen with the ciggarettes was one of the most horrible pieces of television from a reality show I've ever seen.

What a horrible group of people to never stand up for Jen, and to continue to knock her despite everything she had to put up with. I really don't care for any of them now.

well the Power of 10 shows is two rounds.
first round is head to head, best of 5, then the second round is the chance to get 10,000,000.
i think dani got through, and got about...10k/100k

Yea, up until that Dick and Jen scene I wasn't too fussed by Dick's rampages (Jen handled them well and it was never physical) - the tea was a step too far but this felt much worse. I was surprised that no-one attempted to stop them hitting each other sooner (Zach or Eric should have stepped up to Dick to stop things getting out of control). Jen was grabbing for the cigarette so it's unsurprising she did get burnt (and arguably she could probably outfight Dick) but she was clearly upset about how things in the house were going so should have been given a lot of slack.

It'll be interesting to see how Jessica votes (I'd rather Dick would've won HOH so he could protect himself and Daniele). I guess it'll be one of Zach, Amber and Jameka if she keeps her agreement with D&D. I guess I'd like it to be Amber and Zach with Amber leaving.

If Jen didn't start eating the food she may have had a chance of staying this week. Really wish she wouldn't have broke the rules.

I think Amber got through because she mentioned getting to see her cousin. And on Power Of Ten when you get into the second round you are allowed to play with or get help from a friend, so I think Amber got through and got to play with her cousins help.

I didn't have much respect for old skeletor any way, but backdooring someone to me is instant disqualification...it's so cowardly and lacks any skill or brain power. If Daniele does make final 2, I sure hope people remember what sort of game she has played.

what dominating in competitions
I always find it odd when people say that someone on US BB is doing well because they are dominating in the competitions, given that most the time, many of the participants in the competitions are throwing them, and not actually taking part to the best of their abilities. Admittedly we never know for sure who is throwing the comps, and by how much, but at the same time, it does mean that the person dominating probably isn't doing as well as it appears.

well she has won when she has needed to and has played the game well Jen WAS after her so she needed to ger her out, Jen totally went down in my estimations when she was nominated she acted like a spoilt child "I'm not going to sequester" etc

Put it this way who would you rather win Amber, Zach, Jameka or Danielle? I'd rather have someone who has played the game

That's true. But there have also been times when she has won when she hasn't needed to. For example the last POV, once it was just her and Amber, she could have let Amber win. Amber would have used the Veto, and Dani would still be able to put Jen up just the same. However, doing it that way, it it would have appeared less like she had deliberately set out to backdoor Jen all along and it would have made the target on her back smaller, cos if I was one of the others, her winning all the comps, would make her a huge target to get rid of.

Jen totally went down in my estimations when she was nominated she acted like a spoilt child "I'm not going to sequester" etc
Trouble is, we do not really know for sure what was going through Jen's head at this time (does anyone ever know? ). Was this for real, was it an act or (spoilers as this is a non-live feed thread)

Spoiler

This is the trouble with the US BB, by this stage, there is usually no one I would rather win!

If I had to pick, then I think I would like Zack to win. Unlike others, I see the floaters as using just as legitimate a tactic (and in some ways a harder tactic to pull off), as those who supposedly 'Play the game'. But sure, I can also understand why those who like the full on gameplayers and don't take personality into account would go for Dani.

Like I said, backdoor = cowardly, it cancels out anything else someone does in my eyes. Someone who needs to backdoor someone can never be called a good strategic player, it's an oxymoron for me.

yes, but Jen didn't PLAN to backdoor, she was forced to because Daniele won the POV. Daniele actively sought to backdoor BOTH Eric AND Jen. At least with the others, it wasn't their actual plan...

^ Yup, to be clear my definition of Backdooring, is to set out to knock someone out without even given them the chance to save themself, not....just sending home the replacement nominee because that's the way it ends up going.

I agree, the backdoor strategy is a very dirty way to play the game, and I can't respect anyone who uses it as their long-term strategy.

Was any one else surprised by the way, that America voted for Erics vote to go to Jen? I actually thought she'd picked up a lot of support and become a bit of a favourite? The America's player votes nearly always surprise/confuse me!

Yeah, America's decisions are often quite odd.

You would think they'd want to make a target out of Dick given his behaviour, but apparently not.....

I think Jen has a lot of supporters...but also a lot of detractors to vote against her...

She seems to be very popular over here, but I don't think she's AS popular over in the States.....

Not sure why that could be, maybe it's because we tend to like the underdog?

I've always wondered how a UK audience would take to the AP idea. I can't help thinking that we're such a cynical bunch over here that if we were to vote, we'd make it as hard as possible for the person in question.

Jen was my favourite to win. She went in there to play a game, not to make friends. She had the show down to a tee. I can't believe that crying Amber is still in there. That woman drives me nuts.

Dick and Jen was a funny old story. They used to drive each other mad, it's just that Jen always kept her cool.

I am now rooting for Dani. Or possibly Zach. He seems the under-dog.
