Personally I could not have chosen a better or more deserving final two if I had tried. Amazing play, most entertaining. Best season yet. Better than season 6 as there isn't a Nerd Herd finale.

I agree with Jamie. I hate the way they played the game and loath their personalities, but there is no denying that they have been a stand-out partnership and deserve to be the final two.

However, the question as to whether they are great players, is quite interesting. Personally, I would say that whislt they are a great team, I do not think that they would necessarily be great individual players.

I know it is pure speculation as we do not know how they would have acted if they had been flying solo, but going on the tactics they both used this season, I don't think either of them would have gotten to the end under normal circumstances. Dani shut herself off from the start and didn't get to know anyone. By winning the comps she automatically made herself a big target, but by not mixing with people, she wouldn't have had anyone protecting/supporting her. At the point in this game where she would normally probably have been booted, it took her Dad practically sacrificing himself to save her. Normally, no one would have been there to do that for her.

Dick's tactics on the other hand, might have got him further. By being the 'bad-ass', he would have been used the same way that Jen was, to get rid of the more popular competition, as they would know full well that people would always be wanting to get rid of him, so he could be kept around for longer.

Like I say though, this is pure speculation. When it comes to this season, their tactics have complimented each other well, and have made them almost the complete package, and as such, I think they, as a team deserve the prize and a lot of plaudits. But individaully, are they great players? I'm not so sure.

Both of them would have been gone if it wasn't for AP, so you can of course disagree with it...but it's certainly not 'rubbish'.


We're singing from the same song sheet there, and that is exactly why I don't think they deserve to be final 2...America's player voted in their favour time and time again. How is it physically possible that they are the 'best' players in the game, when both would have been voted out if there hadn't been intervention? That's like saying Dustin was the best player.

I can't remember the last time I liked any of the finalists on either Big Brother or Survivor (that's a lie, I liked Yul)...and like the contestants on the show I always want the best players to win the game, regardless of if I like them or not. Unlike a lot of people though, I don't view floaters as unworthy, imho it's as difficult/skilled a tactic as playing hard is...and if it gets them to the final, they deserve to be there. In fact in general I don't care how any one get's to the final, if they pull it off then they are worthy of it, but Daniele and Dick did not get themselves to the final so are not worthy of the title imho.

As for the finale, who's looking forward to it? I personally don't have a preference about who should win, and neither do they...which means there's not much excitement or tension about the whole thing. It feels like, it's not a serious decision...D&D won't take it too seriously I am sure, and I doubt the jury will care too much either, it'll just be a matter of getting the formality over with.
The only thing I am mildly excited about is seeing Daniele and the guy she's cheating on her boyfriend with lovingly reunite...oh no wait, that's a lie, that part is gonna make me barf :P I mean, the only thing I am mildly excited about is seeing all of their reactions to Eric being revealed as America's player

I agree with Starlet somewhat that if it wasn't for America's Player Dick definitely would have gone a long while back. But Dick and Daniele were still two of the best players coming from a competition stand-point, Daniele won the most I think and Dick won a fair share too.

I totally agree with Starlet.Infact i am amazed how anyone could think D&D are good players.Yes good at comps but not the game!

Remember these are the people who voted Nick out.Their game was screwed as soon as they voted him out.They never even thought twice about Eric until the plane.Then Daniele tries to get rid of Eric far too early and thus they become an even bigger target

The following week both D&D are up with Daniele being the main target.So Dick comes up with another masterplan...Go apeshit so they evict him.And even tho he made everyone's life hell.They still wanted to vote Daniele out!

And of course we all know what happened next week,the producers fixed the show bigtime and the rest is history

Who do i think is the better player out of the two.?I would say Daniele,she was better at the comps and she did have a better game than Dick.She played Zach and Jen.However what probably lost her the game was her terrible,terrible attitude.Christ fancy living with that for 75+ days!.Have you checked out the live feeds lately?She is still moaning now!

Well I am glad I am not the only one, but I have decided to get over it. They are the final two, this is how the season has panned out...so may as well try and enjoy the finale
(I say this now, as soon as I hear them being cocky and arrogant and congratulating themselves again...might flip back lol)

Is there any thing in particular people are hoping the jury bring up when they question them? Who does every one think they will each vote for? (sans spoilers, if you have any special knowledge some how please don't share it ), who thinks D&D will be trying to sell a Daniele win?

I'd like to see Daniele brought to task about her hypocrisy re 'It's all game, don't take it personally' - also hopeful that if she starts trying to sell herself as a lovely girl, someone brings up her boyfriend on the outside

It'd also be good to see someone ask Dick if he has any regrets about his treatment of Jen especially, (Ice tea incident, burning incident) but can't see that happening as none of them seemed to bat an eyelid at it at the time.

As mentioned above the thing I am most looking forward to is the AP reveal, I can't see any of them taking it too badly...can you? Maybe Jessica will feel lied to by him though, hope not
It'll be interesting to see how they reveal it as well, will it just be a straight up reveal of the facts...or will they make it a big old cheese fest? And will Dick & Danielle, on realising there was a very powerful all seeing 3rd member of their alliance, show any gratitude and modesty?

Questions I would ask if it were me:

Dick: You openly berated and castigated anyone who you felt had betrayed you or broken their word to you. Given that you broke your word on several occasions and betrayed several alliances, why should you get my vote?

Daniel: This is not a question, but a mini task, if you can go the whole show without using the phrases, "so frustarting", "so hard", and "No one understands", you can have my vote.

Dick: If any Houseguest treated your daughter the way you treated the other Houseguests, especially Jen, would you consider them a worthy winner of Big Brother and give them your vote. If so why? If not, why should I give you my vote?

Daniel: [Given that they only get to see the competitions] You consistently said that you did not approve of your father's tactics, and that you in no way condoned or encouraged them. Stating that it was unfair to blame you for his actions. If that's case, why were you actively encouraging him to verbally attack Zach during the first part of the final HOH competition, and giggling with joy when he did so?

I'm not really looking forward to this becasue like you say, I don't think anyone will be upset by it or for that matter necessarily realise the impact it had on the game. So I just don't see it being the big deal the show seems to think it is.

To be honest, I am not really looking forward to the final show itself either. The jury will either be bitter or totally fake in their reactions and the Denatos will be unsuferably smug and/or lyng through their teeth about how it was all a game and not personal, etc. There will be the inevitable Dani/Nick reunion. [blech] And a good deal of telling us how amazing the AP twist was this year, etc. So all in all, I can't see much that will be enjoyable about it, unfotunately. No excitement, no suspense, just - the end. (Which is a pity because I have enjoyed the rest of the season.)

Daniele shouldn't be there in the first place as the rules say only people 21 years of age can apply. Daniele was 20 when she applied. But forgetting all of that and in terms of gameplay and strategy, I do think Daniele is a deserving finalist. Her awful father, however, isn't imo.

Dick wouldn't be there if his daughter, who shouldn't be there at all anyway, didn't win so many competitions and carried him for most of the competition. The AP twist carried him a bit as well. He's even cheated and broken the rules regarding outside information and I think he's been treated favourably by the producers, who didn't at least warn him about his awful behaviour. Sure, he and Daniele as a team are great, but making that alliance was not strategical on his part, it was inevitable that they were going to join forces in the game anyway. Individually, Dick sucks.

Like Starlet though, I have gotten over it but I still don't think Dick is a deserving finalist. I do think Daniele is, if you forget about the rule that the producers bent to get her in the house.

We already know how Dick would react if someone treated his daughter badly though, he has the same hypocrite streak as his daughter, as soon as Jen started slagging Daniele off and calling her out for basically cheating on her boyfriend (and rubbing it in) on national TV, Dick poured Ice tea over her head...and Daniele gave the smugest little grin I have ever seen (I think that's the point I RRREEEAAAALLLY went off her, it showed me she's just as unpleasant as Dick, she just reigns it in while he doesn't).

In other news...

Something interesting I just noticed, did you realise that the last time we had a Big Brother USA where at least some of the contestants didn’t already know each other in some way, was way way back in Big Brother 3, wowsers. So much for the tagline about ‘14 Strangers‘ living in a house together.

In Big Brother 8, the current series…we have the ‘Enemy’ twist, meaning 6 of the housemates had pre existing relationships.
In Big Brother 7, it was all stars so most knew each other from either the seasons they were in together, from CBS events outside of the house or even just watching each other on TV!
In Big Brother 6, we had the ‘Pairs’ twist, which meant every single one of them in there knew one other.
In Big Brother 5, it was both the the ‘Twins’ twist and the ‘Brother/Sister’ twist, though Nakomis and Cowboy didn’t technically already know each other, they had a parent in common.
In Big Brother 4, we had the ‘Exes’ twist which meant about half the house had someone they knew with them.

As annoying as they both are, the emotions they showed appeared to be real for both of them. They couldn't have kept up the facade for so long.

I tend to agree with you. It's one thing to try and keep a lie going on the surface, it's another to do it in the heat of (many) passionate arguments.

I'm not sure how much I buy in to that either, but it does confuse me they said they were meant to be on BB6 together...all the other stuff is just rumour and conjecture, but they did actually say that!

Also, I know during a bunch of their arguments other HGs were sat around rolling eyes and saying it was fake, so it's not totally inconceivable it wasn't all for real imho. Plus Daniele has shown herself to be a good actress (when she confronted the group about treating her the same way they treated Dick/judged her for his behaviour, she had me hook line and sinker...about fell off my chair when it cut to her diary entry 'I do feel like some of what I was saying, but of course I was playing it up and trying to better my position in the house by making them feel guilty/sympathise with me').

People are saying that this confirms that they both should have been on BB6, yet it doesn't say that at all. All it says is that Dick should have been on BB6.


Yeah, but these are the people who think all of Amber's crying is fake, that Jameka doesn't really believe in God, that Dustin isn't gay and that Dani and Dick have sex!

When you have a room full of paranoid people, who trust no one and think everyone is lying and out to get them, I don't really think their opinions are necessaroily that reliable when it comes to deciding who is being real or not, because they don't think anyone in the house is genuine apart from themselves.

I can't see how they could have been on BB6, Dani would have only been 18 back then, people are saying it is fixed that she is on and is only 20. Can't see how it can be a fix for someone to be on under 21. Even if you can't apply unless you are over 21 there is nothing to say you can't be recruited.

Just watched the 'best of' episode...reminded me what a horrible pair Dick and Daniele are. The Ice-tea incident genuinely started over nothing. Nick and Dick protected Princess Daniele, and Jen wasn't even saying anything...she was just letting Daniele have a whinge.

I can't stand either of them, but I think I'd rather Dick win at this point. Just to mix it up a little. Then watch Daniele...'It's not faaaaaaaaair....it's so annnnnoyiiiiiiiing...it's so frustraaaaaaaaating and it suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!'

This could just be refering to the fact that at the start of this season, they were a secret team (or at least they thought they had teamed up in secret ).

Don't get me wrong, you could well be right, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least. I would just love to see some actual proof instead of rumours and speculation, especially as BB fans can be almost as paranoid as the players themselves and tend to see conspiracies in everything.

Michelle on BB4 was 19,they allowed her in because she was part of the twist

Also from the US feed watchers... Dick has mentioned BB6 a few times. Both Daniele and Dick have credited themselves with getting the other one on the show this year.

And finally Dick and Dani were also on speaking terms before they went into the house according to their MySpace pages!

Just watched the finale.

I cannot believe Amber. She is the most stupid and pathetic contestant on any reality TV show ever. She attacks Daniele for cheating on her boyfriend and then goes onto vote for Dick, who attacked her faith, attacked her friends, attacked her, threatend people and was a bully. I do not understand why she sees Daniele's actions as wrong but sees Dick's as acceptable. And it may have been all stragey but so could Daniele's relationship. Vile, Vile housemate.

I was actually rooting for Daniele but still I'm pleade that a Donato won and as they said they played the most difficult game but still came out on top.

And thank god for America's Player. We could have had an other Nerd Herd or even a Dustin & Amber Final 2.

Best moment of the finale Dicks face when he was told it was down to America/Eric that he stayed in the gameAnd after going on for weeks how he pulled of the best move in BB history!

Overall the season did have some great moments.But gameplay wise because of the twist(fixing) it was terrible.Not a season i would watch again that's for sure

They played the game no one had ever managed to play before. On a regular basis the rest of a house had chance to boot the Donatos and they did not because they were stupid.

Dick should have been booted Week 2 instead of Joe
Jen should have voted out Dick rather than Dustin as she knew Dick hated her and had no chance of breaking up the Donatos.
Jessica should have put them up Week 8 instead of Amber (waste of HOH week.)
Zach should have forced Daniele up by the POV and then she'd have been evicted.

The house had so many oppourtunitys other than the AP twist. They played the best game and they played as two yet each time the stupidity of the other housemates allowed them to stay in. Except they did not realise that the Donatos were going to win until it was to late
