Just seen the second episode. I'm enjoying it so far.

LOL at Jen crying over her picture! How pathetic! I thought she was kind of rude to Dick in the food competition as well. Do not like her at all, she's the type of person we sometimes suffer in the UK BB.

I don't like Kail at all. As the OP said, homophobic and egotistical. If one of her children is gay, how the hell are they going to be ready to tell her after her saying that on TV?

The enemies thing is great. I feel sorry for Dick and Danielle, Dick says it's a matter of her not talking to him, and she says she forgets why they're not talking in the first place. So if she forgets, I just wonder why she still seems so wary of him, if she's forgotten the reason why she stopped talking to him, surely it can't have been that bad in the first place and there's no point in thinking about it anymore? But whatever it is is their business and I won't be picking sides, I like them both anyway.

I feel a bit sorry for Amber and hope she wins the Veto, she does seem like a genuine person and I would like her to have a chance at getting far. Hope she puts up a fight to stay.

My favourite so far is Jameka.

I hope Carol stays, because I want to see more of her rivalry with Jessica. I'm sure their must be more too it than has been portrayed so far.

Jessica is my favorite incidently. But, I also like Danielle, Dustin, Dick, and Jen is quite funny.

Jen gets more pathetic by the episode.

And Amber, please keep God out of it. If God 'watched' BB then Boogie would never have won.

Players like that really bug me.

I love Jessica. She's so funny. The way she said "Bye Carole. See you at highschool reunion in 10 years!" at the end made me laugh.

I also really like Danielle, and it's great to have another blonde bombshell who's smart and good at the competitions this year. Was glad she didn't use the veto, because I didn't want Jen to go at this point.

As for the nominees, I hope Amber is the one to go, but I think it will be Carole.

I was really hoping Danielle would use the veto and get Jen up, she really is pathetic. But I suppose it's better not to change the noms, Jen will be targeted later and it buys people another week having her there. I like Danielle, she seems competitive and smart and will probably go far.

As well as Jen, I also really dislike Kail. I hope whichever nominee stays wants to go after her. I know she had to lie about fairness anyway, but when she said she made her decision in the spirit of fairness it did make me laugh. As if the woman who doesn't want her kids to be gay believes in "fairness", oh do give me a break. Unfortunately I think she's in for the long haul because she chose her alliances very very well.

I liked the veto competition, they really messed up the House!

Not well enough, it seems.

What a complete bitch she was for trashing the whole house while trying to find the veto. It wasn't as if she really needed to win it anyway.

The Veto used to hold less power a few seasons ago. It used to be called just Veto but now it's called the Golden Power of Veto. Unfortunately, I can't remember what the difference is.

I know that everyone used to compete for Veto but I don't think it was used very often. To remedy this, in Season 5 BB made it so that only 6 houseguests can compete for it (The HOH, the 2 nominees and 3 others). This would ensure that most of the 6 are really trying for it.
The HOH and nominees could chose the 3 others to play.

It was in Season 5 though that Jennifer (Nakomis) came up with the "6 finger plan" to backdoor Jase.
As HOH she nominated 2 people from her own alliance! This was so that all 6 people who were playing for Veto were from the same alliance. The Veto winner would then remove one of the nominees so that Nakomis replaced them with Jase.
It worked to perfection and Jase didn't see it coming.
Nakomis's alliance then had enough votes left to evict him.

This "6 finger plan" can't work anymore as BB makes the selection of the 3 others more random.

The difference is that in the earlier seasons you couldn't use the veto to save yourself. You could only use it on someone else.

A silly rule that I could never understand.

Yeah, that was it.

I agree, a bit crap.
Was it Marcellas who had the chance to use the first golden one? And he didn't use it to save himself!

Yeah, I think that's true. Silly Marcellas.

Actually, I think BB3 was the only season to have the regular veto, as BB2 didn't even have any form of veto. I remember watching it, and finding it very boring without it.

Yeah it didn't and it made the game a lot harder. They had America's choice every week instead in the second episode of the week.
I think they've had three types of veto.
Normal - In BB3, where you couldn't save yourself, only someone else. That meant you had to trust someone else to win it and use it on you.
Golden - The one used now, where you can save yourself.
Diamond - Used only once for the final veto of season 4. I think you could take yourself off and choose the nominee to replace you or choose who to evict. I can't remember.
Anyway, I enjoyed episode 3. I think I'm gonna like this series a lot more than All Stars. Fave still Jameka followed by Daniele and Dick.
Episode 3 got 6.98m viewers, 4.5 in households and a 7% share. Big improvement on episode 2. Does anyone know what All Stars and BB6 got in the ratings for episodes 1/2/3?

Daniele and Dick are my two favourties, cant stand Eric as he is quite smarmy and dont like Kail or Zach much either.

I hope Amber goes, she cries too much!

The clever, strategic housemates will probably vote to evict Amber. Because by keeping Carol, there is still a pair of enemies in the House as well as Joe and Dustin which could buy them one or two weeks if one of them happened to win HoH.

Kail seems to want Carol out in case she comes after her, but Amber seems more angry about the decision.

I hope your right, but I still think that Carole will go, because Amber seems like she'll be better at persuading the others to want to keep her.

I think Carol will go too. Any attempts by the Mrs Robinson alliance to try to evict Amber will just expose themselves to the others so I think they will play it safe.

You should search around for the old ones. BB6 and BB3 are the best seasons IMO. BB2 is also great with Will. Haven't seen BB4 or 5 yet, so don't know what they're like.
