HI there.. I've been in two minds as whether to get a 7650 or a 3650 on a new contract from orange.

I'm with the 7650, but I've heard the 3650 is better.. I hate the keys on the 3650 and like the slide out on the 7650..

Any user comments?

The 3650 is technically better, yes. It has an MMC slot so you can expand the memory, so you could have about 256Mb instead of the 7650's 4Mb. The camera also produces better pictures.

But it boils down what you like, really. But I will say, the mock 3650s in phone shops are a terrible build quality, and the really thing is a 100 times nicer.

How about price? Is the 3650 much more expensive?

Network free, the 7650 is actually £30 more.

I bought the 3650 at the end of March for £300 network free for the cpw.

Its a bit odd, i have had both, and

I prefer the look of the 7650, and i prefer it,

but the 3650 has the expandable memory, but i do not like the look of it, or the layout of the keys.....

If the 7650 had the expandable memory i would say go for that.

They are very simular feature wise.

Its more down to two questions,

Do i need the expandable memory?

Which do i prefer the look of?

I don't think I'll need the memory, and the look is definetly important.. I think I will go with the 7650.

Also, does the 3650 have bluetooth? Cause I've got a bluetooth dongle for my comp already..

Yes it has Blue Tooth.

Now think wisely again about the Memory thing!

New program out for 3650/7650 , allows video recording thats not limited by the program, but by the memory, so if you had a 3650 you could do 30 mins no problem of Video

If you start adding software like the Infra Red Remote control program, games, FTP Client, memory goes bye bye.

FTP Client is handy, once you have taken the pic/video upload, and delete of phone.. but still you have to be very memory conscience.

Why don't I wait for the 7650i which has an expandable memory slot!?

Seriously, I think I will go with the 7650.. if I want videos, I'll use my digital camera, and I don't have enough money to get a bit MMC card..

A few things to think about:

Each app is about 350kb

Each photo is about 40Kb

You can convert episodes of the simpsons, friends etc. to 3gp files and watch them on you phone, taking about 15mb of space, and it's very cool if you're bored

You can get a 3rd party mp3 player - very cool to have songs on your phone

The 3650 supports the bluetooth audio profile, the 7650 doesn't (this allows you to use a bt headset)

The 3650 comes with a 16Mb MMC card

Mabye someone could recommend an Orange tarrif then? Something equivalent to o2 50?

I'll see which fone is cheaper, and buy that one.. but the 3650 seems a bit big for my pockets

If you're worried about the size, I'll point out that the 7650 is pretty much the same size as the 3650, only a little bit shorter. But I wear tight levis, and really don't notice the size much.

I would have liked to but it would have cost me £124.99 with o2,i know if i looked around i would proberly get the 3650 free but o2 has the best tariff,no one else offers 500 wap,500mins offpeak,500 text and 50xnet offpeak for £20 amonth, anything is better then the motorola v50 that i have at the moment....

I have now got my new 7650 and what a phone,the pictures are great,only problem i am having is the wap,on my other nokia phones it works fine but on this it keeps coming up with the error message " WAP ,REPLY UNKNOWN" ths is also happening on the tagtag.com wap site too,does anyone know what could be wrong??wanted to get some free tones and stuff, also i cant get access the nokia site either,same problem...Cheers!!!

Never seen that error message.

If you want free tones, make them your self Its very easy.

Grab 20 seconds or so of an MP3, and turn it into a WAV file. Lower the quality to about 22Khz, 8Bit. Upload to phone, and set it as a ring tone.

Have you been to the O2 or Nokia websites to send the WAP configuration file to your phone? If you can't do it online, phone up customer services, and they'll be able to do it for you.

I can get online but most of the sites it comes up with that message, and i have just treid to download a ring tone and it comes up with Error:
