If you have a Nokia N73 then follow the steps below and you should be able to get SKY Anytime or Remote Record on your mobile. Note this is for O2 customers but should work for other networks if you ring them and ask them for the settings, I have marked if you need to do this by putting two **.

1. Download the following application: http://mobile.sky.com/SBM/SonyE_novi...yWithoutTv.jar
•Save it somewhere on your PC.
•Open up Nokia PC Suite
•Click on Install Manager
•Select the file and click the arrow pointing to the right
•This will install the Application on your mobile
•Reboot your phone

2. Once rebooted, go to Main Menu, Tools, then Settings.
Then scroll down to Connection, and then select Access Points.
Click Options, New Access Point, Use Default Settings.

Now use the following settings:
•Connection Name: Mobileweb
•Data Bearer: Packet Data
•Access point name: mobile.O2.co.uk
•Username: O2web **
•Password: faster (note that the Nokia will still only show the password as '4' digits) **
•Prompt Password: No
•Authentication: Normal
•Homepage: http://wap.O2.co.uk **

Now click options whilst still in that menu, now select Advanced Options.
Use the following settings:

•Network Type: IPv4
•Phone IP Address: Automatic
•DNS Address: Automatic
•Proxy serv. Address: 193.113.200.200 **
•Proxy Port Number: 8080

Click back, now reboot your phone once more.

3. Once rebooted, go to Main Menu, Applications, then scroll down and you should see the Sky by Mobile appliction.
•Select it, wait for it to load.
•You will then have to input your username
•Note, before entering your password, go into password, click 'ok' without actually typing in your password yet.
•Now go back into password and type in your password. This is a glitch with the application and closes the login
page if you dont do it this way.
•Now login, it might ask you the name of the connection to use. In this case, select the one we made called Mobileweb.

Done!

On my SE phone I had the link and it installed without me needing to do anything. You make it sound like it's complicated.

Yeah the settings worked for me.

You may think it seems complicated because not everyones phone is set up like you SE where it appears to just work. Different Network, different settings. Also, the SE is different anyhow.

And, the instructions arent complicated in the slightest actually. Should take you 5 minutes.

Wouldn't it be easier to put the link directly into the browser on your phone? That would would cut out all the messing around with the PC.
You can have the mobile web settings sent from the O2 or Nokia websites which would also save a lot of typing. Don't most O2 phones (contract) have the mobile web settings anyway?

No, the advanced options you have to submit manually. Also, downloading it from the PC is better because you dont pay for the usage as you would on a mobile. It might take 1 minute longer but costs you nothing. Also, the settings O2 send you arent exactly the right ones. Trust me, I spent a long time getting this to work and have been through it, this does work and is the ONLY way to get it working on the N73 with O2.
