exchanging tickets with ticketmaster?
i know the official line is a big fat no, but has anyone managed to swap tickets with ticketmaster ever?
not actually for another date even, or trying to get a refund - but simply for better seats, after more have become available? would like to for Prince, as we only got upper tier seats at the O2, but they've now released some more lower tier ones. we haven't even got the tickets yet, the tickets are all the same price, so there's no real admin other than changing the seat number on the booking. will try ringing them later, but just wondered if anyone had ever had any joy with something similar? cheers, Iain |

You should, however, make sure you come across well and be prepared to bargain i.e. pay an increased fee maybe? Another avenue could be to respectfully argue that you didn't know more tickets would become available..so you are entitled to a chance at better seats. Hope that helps

They make it very difficult, which is why ticket touting exists so much on Ebay.

Don't they offer a kind of in-house re-selling facility? Never used it but it's supposed to work.

I had no luck with Ticketmaster I will never deal with them again. What a bunch of con artists. I booked seated tickets for a concert as they were the only ones available then a couple of days later they had standing tickets. Now why would they do this? If i'd known there would be standing tickets I would have bought them and they did not give me the option to exchange them. Just a load of bullshit about selling them on and booking new tickets. The concert was then cancelled anyway so I don't know why I bothered

Did you have any luck with Ticketmaster, Iain?
Has anyone received their Prince concert tickets yet? Do you think they've been waiting to dispatch them until after the new album was released in The Mail? I'm going on 7th August

Say your friend has been diagnosed with vertigo and you have heard that the upper tier is unsuitable!
