Anyone watching A Place In Spain: Costa Chaos?

I've done a search on here and can't believe there have been no posts about this series featuring the wackiest couple I've seen on TV.
There's excitable Dawn with her straw-like multi-coloured hair, penchant for leopard skin, multi-coloured punk-style clothing and weird American accent.
And then there's laid-back Rocco, her work-shy boyfriend whose huge beak-like nose is about the most normal thing about him.

They (well Dawn, anyway) are trying to buy a house in Spain but don't have the money. In last week's episode, Rocco decides to sell his three classic Mercedes cars and raises £9,000 for two of them despite more-or less-telling the buyers that they could get better vehicles elsewhere for less money.

Meanwhile, Dawn has decided to walk out of her job and is deliriously happy at the prospect of the lazy days ahead. But when she gets home leaping for joy and tells Rocco, he blinks his huge eyes in disbelief and thinks she's joking because they're relying on her income for the mortgage...

Even if you don't fancy watching it, just switch over to catch a look at this bizarre couple in action.
It's on Channel 4 on Friday at 8pm

I've been watching it. Can't believe this couple, they're rather low on brain cells arn't they! Rocco scares me, he looks like the child catcher. Entertaining series though.

I watched this last week - and i will definately be tuning in again.

yes, they are an odd couple - but strangely fascinating. I hope they succeed in their dream.

I watch it and think it must be a set up of some sort because they are so chaotic, surely!? Rocco must be an alcoholic but clearly did make money at one point. What's the name of his ex-band again?

Did anyone see the episodes where he refused to sell any his guitars, even though it would have largely solved their problems and his bric a brac? Dawn is marginally less chaotic, marginally.

Rocco's band was called Flesh For Lulu.

I must admit it crossed our minds that this might be some sort of set up. I hope it's not a couple of actors, but even if it is they are still hugely entertaining.

I saw it for the first time last week - I sort of hope they are actors - if they're real they're a bit scary.

Yeah it's very funny. Just when you think nothing more can go wrong, it does

This week's was hilarious with Dawn thinking of being a waitrese (with no experience and no command of Spanish), and Rocco as a living sculpture, both of which, at best, will pay peanuts. How do they think they are going to pay the mortgage?

Incidentally, I thought I would be used to Rocco's appearance, but his glasses seem to be getting bigger along with his nose. Can't help but like him, though!

Aren't they planning to run the house as a guest house or did I get that wrong?

We were talking about this when we watched the recording last night..... "Do you reckon it IS real?" "If it's real it's very entertaining... if it's not it's STILL very entertaining...."

They are both so funny looking and acting, though strangely endearing at the same time.

Do men think Dawn is attractive, nice looking? I think she's like Leslie Caron when young, an actress who was a bit of an ugly duckling, she was the star of "Gigi", but to me Dawn is even uglier, though I think men might find her attractive.

Did anybody see the first episode though, I was absolutely wetting myself when firstly then went to the wrong airport

Then when a hungover Rocco went to visit the house on his own was sick in the garden and ended up going to bed in the house he was supposed to be viewing!!

I find 'A Place in Spain' cringeworthy and don't find the couple entertaining at all...they're so unoriginal.

I loved 'A Place in France' but all the 'A Place in...' since haven't had the same charm.

Can you find me where it says it is 9k because I really think that's not right somehow.

I'm surprised there aren't more people on this forum watching this as it's on just before the BB evictions. ....I've watched every week.

Nothing more to add really except that he looks like the guy from Coldcut and she's the spitting image of Shirley Manson from Garbage.
