A group of Angels are sitting right here in my home right now after a fabby night at Kew Gardens watching Mr Ellis strutt his stuff- He sure knows how to get down and dirty! We are sitting here in the dark as a fuse has blown and being angels not sure what to do but as we are all hot anyway so won't feel the cold tonight!

Everyone managed to meet up at the right place and made our way to Kew Gardens where we found ourselves practically at the head of the queue with 90 mins to wait for gates to open but when you got 90 mins to chat about the loverlee (note the pun for the Lee fans!!) Ben Ellis it soon passed. Gates opened and we dashed right to the front to secure prime spot right in front centre of stage......We angels really know how to get to places!!

I will skip all the save Kew gardens tosh and save the plants ( did you know they help the environment?) and move on to the show. Although, I should mention every time a certain Ben Ellis's name was mentioned the audience shrieked and whooped......See it's not just angels who have good taste!!

First up was some fabby musicians putting us in the mood for some dirty dancing......but we were already in the mood anyway! Next up a group of dancers who were very very good and then the lead female singer, Amy (sorry this is all sort of vague because we weren't paying much attention yet) .......and then .............Mr Ellis appeared in tight jeans (phoar) and a red /orangey half open shirt singing *hungry eyes*.............For those of you who doubt his vocal abilities let me tell you he sang every note on key and with a lovely tone. Even I as a fan was absolutely gob smacked........only because he sounded better than on ADWD. He really has a great voice and the Lee fan sitting next to me will vouch that this is not me being biased!

Next female lead and male dancers sang a group of songs which am sure you don't want to know about . Then was a group of male dancers all dressed in Black and our boy came on to the centre with a white tux shirt and black trousers with cumberbund singing *cry to me * He sang this better than crying (ha ha !!) then *I'm a Love man.*........Can i just say yep he sure is!!!!!! The first half finished off with *do you love* Yes Ben we do especially with those hip moves!!

20 min interval- and we saw Maude (Ben's girl friend ) sitting not far away- gorgeous lucky lady!

Part two -
Started with a McJoseph lookalike........honest Trixie he was his younger brother.....we all noticed it. really cute!
Then Ben came on singing a song especially for me *big girls don't cry* ha ha this is when the angels came down to the front of the stage and waved a Ben Banner (thank you blue pengiuin ) at Ben..........took a while for him to notice but we angels persisted until he saw the banner .......the look on his face was a sort what the F*ck is that!!) then he grinned at us and then we all screamed as you do! We then had some dancing lessons from the man himself..........yes first you wiggle your hips this way than you wiggle them this way.......(swoon swoon swoon) then you give it some pelvic thrust - can you imagine us innocent angels in a state of aploxy by then! But more to come when he sang *hey baby* , the lead female sang 'hey Benjamin' in come to bed voice, and he sang 'hey amy' with a CADMF (note to MelJ !!!!!!!!!!!!!)............was fabby

To finish the show they did a fast medley of all the songs with of course *the time of my life* we did we did!! especially when he took his shirt off under which I can vouch is a firm six pack (see after show)

After show -

We tried to bribe a security guard to take our ben banner back stage. No chance!! although he did give it to the stage manager who we saw throw it on the side .......Helloooo didn't he realise this was the angels who could be devils in disguise if the occasion arose.......Oh well we tried and were about to head to the station when the only Lee fan amongst us commented that Mr Ellis was just behind us......Helllooooooooooooooooo so we sauntered across ( yeh right, we ran at full throttle!) to mob Mr Ellis. Poor bloke didn't know what hit him!! We got our group piccie and I as a mature fan got my Sharon Osbourne hug . although not sure Shazza punched him in the stomach (sorry Ben got carried away ) the younger ones got their hugs and kisses, he was so sweet and loved the bottle of champers we gave him..........

Oh and just want to say hello to all the digi spy lurkers. We met several of them and it is a scary thought the amount of lurkers who know all about us and our whereabouts.

Roll on Crystal Palace 11th August when we do it all over again........Thank you ben Your singing and dancing as JB would say was Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant!

Sounds like you had a lovely time. I think it is quite clear that Daniel, Lee and Ben have shown that they are so much better than the TV show ever gave them opportunity to show.

Lets hope he gets some good news about Hairspray.

Nice that you got to meet him too.... after my Daniel experience on Saturday I'm still on a high!

It was amazing meeting him!! Oh what a night!!
Great review everyone! As I've said on the Ben thread, a bigger and better banner will be my project for CP!
Got to get him smiling and waving at us again!
Ooh I am so tired but have got a big grin on my face!

I called my friend from Kew station last night bursting with news of meeting Ben, she has emailed me today to say
"I don't think ive ever heard anybody
so excited in my life before as when you phoned me last night"
Oops must have been slightly over enthusiastic (and a tad tipsy!)

Oh WOW!!!

I am absolutely made up for you angels meeting your man!
That's the icing on the cake isn't it.

I can imagine your little hearts fluttering with delight when he sang "Do You Love Me?" and I won't even begin to wonder your feelings when he took his shirt off ! Brave man indeed lol.

It sounds like it was a great success and he has shown exactly where his talents lie. Performing high-energy song and dance routines and I would think that out of all the Josephs, Ben is the one who does them best. Fabulous time you had then and the Sharon Osbourne hug made me giggle twingle. You try to wind him did you ? Did you have the boot of your car cleared out ready? pmsl! Bet he forgave you and he'll certainly remember you Angels now !

And Craigs McJoseph lookylike was there ? Wooo! Did you get pics of him too? Interested to see the resemblance

Yay! for Ben for giving his fans a fantastic time and Boo! to the stage manager for casting aside the banner you had taken time over to show your appreciation. Meany. This is a great review and will certainly have even more fans wanting to see him now too. The fact he took time to pose with you shows what a genuinely appreciative guy he is. This night will be hard to top for the angels won't it!

What's CADMF btw?

Thanks trixiehobbit! I made the banner, didn't spend long on it but thought it was cute and colourful and I think it got us a smile and a look from Ben at any rate!

He seems a lovely guy. It will be hard to top. I am worried about coming down to earth with a bump today after the highs of last night.

Come and Do Me Face I believe !!??

The only thing I can add at the moment is that somewhen during the show, can't actually remember when but there was what looked like a pretty passionate kiss on the stage

Oh and when we met Ben he said that he hopes my leg gets better soon

Fantastic review Twingle - sounds like a great night out. I'm thinking I might even try and get across from Switzerland for the CP show if there are still tickets left!

Looking forward to hearing some detail from the other angels that were too.

Can't really add to the excellent review as I lost my programme and can't remember all the songs but he did sing "She's Like the Wind" - a slow song he sang beautifully. The thing that amazed me that although I knew he would give a barn storming performance I really didn't expect his voice to be that good!

I didn't notice any missed notes and usually wince at them and he even managed falsetto in "Big Girls Don't Cry". Can't really explain why he was so much better than he was in some performance on ADWD but he was.

Sounds like a great night.

Cry to Me is a seriously sexy song (remember it well from the film ) - would have quite liked to have seen that one myself!

*repeats you are too old for Ben over and over*

I am planning on not letting go of his right arm again, I have noticed from the photos I've seen so far how attached I got to it!
