Aw that was at the Bristol game where KP took the Aussie's apart!

I like Shane Watson he was an absolute legend for Hampshire when he played for us!

Who do you support?

He's just swapped one blonde for another though - a TV sports presenter.

I only support England really, not a County, cos I'm a Londoner, and didn't want to support Middlesex. LOL!

I relly liked it too, but can't help feeling Heather's got a bit of an advantage.. after all, she obv only has to learn half the steps.........

Just watched it on Raphael Pungin's site... is there not even a guideline on how much of the routine they have to spend in hold? It only seemed to be a few seconds of the routine- very strange.

I really like this, I think Joey Fatone did best on the first night

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is definitely my favourite dancer. Can't think why?

Yes - I thought that was a fabulous way of opening the show - truly spectacular! Better than watching the celebs trot nervously down the stairs (and waiting to see who'll trip )

I miss Craig and Arlene

The thing is that, I am really surpised that the BBC has put the programme on BBC1 after the EastEnders omnibus. I thought BBC3 was the more likley channel just like America's Got Talent on ITV2 and that has never been shown on ITV1.

The set was the same, half the panel was the same, the voice-over was remarkably similar to ours...

...But did anyone else find it strange without Brucie? He was like the missing ingredient for me

The voiceover is done by the same man.

Also, whoever it was was asking about lifts - they are not allowed to do lifts, but the rules get ignored sometimes

I enjoyed it - but trying to remain unspolied is going to be sooooo hard as I'm sooooooo impatient.

Can I be the first member of the Steve Saunders appreciation sociey. I was so a Jason Preistly/ Luke Perry fan in my youth. But he looked hot.

Love the professional's dance at the beginning. But got fed up of the bbc adding the next show dates and phone line closed info every time the presenters mentioned it - surely beginning and end of show would be sufficient.

Also couldn't you see where the breaks should have been - much prefer SCD and Bruce and Tess.

I was trying to explain to my b/friend who Ian Zeiring was -and he said 'Oh, the old looking one off of 90210 -looked too old to hang around with the rest of them'

However, I then had to tell him that Ian doesnt look as if he has aged at all since then and was looking preeeety good!

I'd never heard of any of the "stars" except for Heather of course but I would n't describe her as a star myself, (that's the Americans for you tho). Was n't she sooooo thin? Looked like all the negative publicity had been getting to her, hopefully since then she's filled out a little bit.
I still enjoyed the dancing however, I've really missed it. The Prof' dancers seem much more "glitzy" than ours, lots of Barbies & Ken's, my Hubby came in & could not believe all the dazzling white teeth.
My fave was the speed skater, wow sexy snake hips or what? & with that gorgeous partner of his they were smokin' . I hope he stays in a while so we can see him improve, as I think he could be fantastic with more work.

What an improvement to watch this on a proper television. The new season starts in September so the BBC should screen that in the future. I don’t want to think this is just on because of Heather Mills.

Oh no, does that mean Bruno and Len will be flying backwards and forwards across the Atlantic every week? They were really bad tempered last year until DWTS finished and they could stay on this side of the Atlantic and not get jet-lagged.

Yes, it will probably be the same as last year.

I agree Dinosaur 05 - he has not aged one bit over the years. He is hot hot hot

I think that most of the stars are stars in the US.

Leeza Gibbons is huge - plus bit of trivia she was once married to Chris "Brian Tilsey" Quinten.

The Old guy was from Cheers - massive in the states.

Any basketball/football/baseball player from the hall of fame is going to be well known in the states.

The US love the Olympics (It gets fantastic ratings) - so the speed skater would be well know.

NSYNC were huge in the states so Joe Fatone will have a hude follwing - ala Justin Timblelake

Billy Ray Syrus (sp) - country music is much much bigger in the states - so again huge following

Not to sure on the other girls - model seemed to be a father's (40 ish) poster girl - maybe on the scales of Sam Fox/Linda Lusardi

and of course the lush Ian Zeiring - who was in the truely global 91210

Anyway it's nice to see the dancing back and I'm sure we will all have our fav's

Thanks for the run-down on who everyone was Lemon. The sound was a bit fuzzy I found & with the music it was hard to hear when they were telling us who they were. I was going to Google them but now I don't have to.
I did n't watch 90210 or Cheeers so they flew under my radar & I'm way too old to have been into NSYNCH (sp?).
The Newsreader looked familiar so maybe I've seen her on something, the model was the only one I recognised from the 80's; when I was a teenager into fashion mags etc & of course Heather is notorious .

Very quick impressions:

Camerawork very superior to ours. Beeb, PLEASE take note.

Set lit better.

Band given proper credit from the start.

More 'glitzy'. Spectacular opening, perhaps something we could copy.

The pros looked on average younger than ours.

They wouldn't get away with a 30 second foxtrot here and just one part of it in hold. Because of that, difficult to judge the choreography as much.

Missed having 4 judges.

Missed Bruce. It must also be remembered that U.S. prime time is very prudish (Janet Jackson's covered nipple) and Bruce would never get away with some of the stuff he says here.

Joey in the white suit brilliant.

Hi all, I missed this on sunday, and have been looking in the telly guide for this weeks and cannot find it.

Can anyone tell me when it's on please?

Hi, I have a memory if the announcer saying it would return in 2 weeks which is why it might not be in this weeks tele guide.

* I could be completely wrong! it was on at 4.15pm
