1 Audio Output to 2 Inputs (RCA- Phono)?

hello.

(i couldnt find a more suitable board for this post - sorry)

i have a Samsung DVD-HD870 and currently use the 2 Phono audio output to connect to my Amp. i could really do with sending it to the TV aswell for when the volume of the amp is just too loud

i have the same issue with a PS2.

simply, i want to know how to/if there is such a thing as a 2 phono to 4 phono cable transfering the same audio signal L/R to both?

or is there switcher?

i have done loads of searching and find lots of stuff thats the other way around (lots of outputs into one input), but i cant locate what i need!!

surely its possible?

thank you.

You can buy an adaptor to split a single RCA phono into two so buy two of them and you are in business or perhaps if you use scart for video a scart cable with phono breakout to feed the TV would work as well.

Sorry for dragging up an old thread (found it via Google) but I just got a Woolworths freeview box with a RCA digital out but I use a analogue switcher box to go into my old stereo, which solely has a red and white phono socket for input.
So can I simply use the cable as described above or like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA:IT&ih=019

No.

Well you can but it is going to blow your speaker cones across the floor! Square waves at several volts peak to peak do not sound very nice.

As you may have guessed by now it is rather more complicated to connect a digital out to an analogue input than a bit of wire. You need some clever electronics in between the two.

If your STB has two SCARTs and you are only using the TV one then get a SCART to phono adapter plug or lead and use the unused VCR out, just ignore the video connection.

Alternatively you can get SCART to SCART leads with the audio connections broken out at one end into two or four phono leads. Just plug that in place of one of the SCART leads and take the phono leads to your amp.
