Hmmm...not sure I like the new direction Charlotte has taken. If you're looking for new stuff you could check out my 'new music thread' I just updated. If you're looking for more female-fronted bands, I recommend these:

Howling Bells
Land Of Talk
Shapes and Sizes
Sky Larkin
Bat For Lashes

If you haven't already got them, get her albums - the first one is more quirky and poppy, the second a bit more grown up, but they're both excellent, and I've played them hundreds of times each!

Someone else I'd recommend is The Shins; I got their latest album, 'Wincing The Night Away', a couple of months ago, and it's very good. (They remind me of The Smiths)

Oh, and Maximo Park, I can absolutely vouch for their new album; every track could be a big single.

Howling Bells are great. Only just 'discovered' them recently.

I preffered 'Chutes Too Narrow', and found that album to be their most accessible one.

I've listened to it a couple of times, but (for me) it just doesn't have the big tunes of WTNA. Agree about the Howling Bells, though, v. good.

Totally agree with this. It's a real grower and I'm loving it even more than A Certain Trigger. Album of the year so far for me.
