Both the above two are in my list of Eurovision faves!

I quite often like the UK's entry's, especially Ooh Ahh just a little bit (1996), and Love shine a light (1997).

A Bi Ni Bi (sp?)

Izhar Cohen and Alphabeta (again, winging it on the spelling!)

Features a misheard lyric "I wanna be a polar bear"

From Israel's late '70s heyday.

I liked Frances Ruffelle 'Lonely Symphony', ours from 1994

I then went on to buy a few more of her releases and her album 'Fragile'

That'd be Paul Harrington and Charlie McGettigan from 1994.

My personal favourite is the superb winning Norway song from 1995, 'Nocturne' by Secret Garden.

Last year's Estonian entry, 'Runaway' by Salene, wasn't too bad either.

I'm with John Peel, Bardo - One Step Further. I still play it regularly.

I also loved a few songs from other countries, I think about 1989 I recorded a lot of the songs onto audio cassette, I remember a German entry about music in the hall (musik klink in de velten house) or something, and there was one I think Irish entry which went - Meet me in Paris by the Champ Elysees (spelt correctly courtesy of BBG!). And the winner which was Captured By a Love Storm.

Carene, Cliffy baby (as he's always been referred to in our house-Mum's a BIG fan!!!) had 2 songs in Eurovision- Congratulations in 1968-which most people know,
and the slightly less well-known "Power to All Our Friends" in- I think-1973! AFAIK, they both came 2nd!!!!

Back OT-
Favourite Eurovision song-
The FANTASTIC "Come What May" (Apres Toi) by Vicky Leandros from about 1972/3

I sometimes think I'm the only person in the world who loved Love City Groove by Love City Groove

But Nocturne by Secret Garden is the greatest Eurovision song by far

I have to admit that I do know all the lyrics to that track and do tend to sing it from time to time - in the style they did it
