So whos seen the new EPG, and what do you think of it?

At first I thought ugly, but I'm quite warming to it now, and I think its not too bad really. The TVGuide area of the EPG is now much more thought out in my opinion.

How new?

It changed a year ago when Tiscali took over but I wasn't aware it had changed recently.

Does this mean then that Tiscali is finally ready to start rolling out the service nationally? And maybe even start showing the Sky channels?

Has the channel line up changed?

sky may have demanded good positions on the EPG, it could be sign that things are starting to happen....but probably not!

I think it looks OK.... It certainly looks more professional and neater than how it did previously. Let's put it this way it certainly looks far more organised than Virgin Media's menu screen!!!

i like it, was a bit weird at first but now i've got used to it it looks a lot cleaner than the old one, the multi-channel EPG is easier to read.

have you noticed the problem with the replay channels?

as seen on the screenshot in the post above, all of the replay channels, when shown in tv guide, have an "r" next to all the programmes for that channel, however they are not all available as replay content.

seemed like everything was showing up as replay including every programme on FX, not it seems to be correct and only showing the programmes that are meant to be replay.

i don't like all the black on white text, it's quite hard on the eye. The old style was a very good combination of colours though probably not high contrast enough for those with poor eyesight. I do quite like the rounded corners but would prefer to have the old EPG back!

I do wonder if the fact that button presses are registered with a black version of the button reflects the remote that will come with the new box (which looks like it'll be black).

I had only had tiscali installed for a day before they changed it and I thought it was an improvement on the old style.

What’s Tiscali's website for ordering their tv service?

http://www.homechoice.co.uk/ still works

You could also see http://www.tiscali.co.uk/entertainme...-tv/index.html but the join link takes you to the standard Tiscali Page which does not mention TV.

Tiscali's web site is completely unhelpful for the TV service viewpoint

I think they are going to launch a proper web site when the new STB comes out because if people sign up now they will have to have there box replaced in a few weeks/months.

As always with Tiscali it comes back to question: When is the new box launching? Surely it can't be too much longer?
