Anyone know anthing about this company .A friend of mine had a phone system installed about two years ago and it appeared to be a better deal than BT at the time but now thinks it was most likely a con in the hall they installed a box that looks big enough to run a hospital phone system and she has to dial 9 to get an outside line . The company is not contactable and appears to be in administration . They had said they would get Broadband on the line but this never happened and she wonders if there's any way to get out of this contract and go back to BT.

I'm not exactly clear what your friend did. She had some sort of switchboard installed, but what is the contract for? Hire of the equipment? What was cheaper than BT? The installation of the equipment or the hire charge?
Which Comtel was it? There seem to be a few.

Our telephone connection socket still has comtel written on it. tho Im not sure what this whole "exchange" thing is all about.

...maybe its a differnt comtel?
