A great place to follow OZ and US BB this summer...

If any of you are unfamiliar with newsgroups i'll explain that further down the bottom.

As far as i can tell there are people that capture live streams and post them to the newsgroup. This is the case with Oz BB3. I think there should also be someone who will do likewise for US BB4 aswell as posting there 3 times a week 45 minute tv shows.

There is one more poster that takes care of UK BB. So if you miss something juicy on the feeds that wouldn't be shown on TV then you may find it in a.b.tv.b-b the next day as it was shown on the live web streams.

Fortunately the US has a very stong net following so you can read very detailed transcripts of stuff you missed. It is always nice though to go to that newsgroup when something big has gone down and find live feeds of it posted there.

Infact this forum is big enough to do that! How about a live feed posting sub forum?

That's not a bad idea. We could start wirh BB Australia thread, just to see what interest there is. I'm paying to watch BB Australia so some discussion would be fun ....lol.

PS - Have to say that it's worth it !

I think you got it a bit confused there what i meant Eejay. I was suggesting a forum for "Live Feed posting".

Example...

Jade, Spencer and PJ in garden on F2. Spencer says he is sick of living on the poor side. PJ says he is gonna do his nut if he doesn't end up on the rich side next week. Spencer is bored and asks if they want to come play darts. All 3 go to play darts.

Sandy are Alex are talking about Johnny through the bars on F1. Sandy says he hates Johnny and hopes he is nominated on Tuesday.

So you get the idea, basically you would have a couple of the devoted on hand so that not a trick is missed.

I like the idea of a sub forum for other BB's though, i myself bust be the only one here who watches US BB. The Real Networks tech help were suprised last year when i called for help when having problems viewing the US streams.

"...but your from the UK" - no shit sherlock.

Infact Eejay come watch US BB4 this year with me.

Oh yeah how is Oz BB so far?

I just found this on the newsgroup....

(Big Brother 3 Australia - The Belinda Incident (full version) - 70MB

Was that about some kind of scandal i was reading about not so long ago?

Right, I'm with you now. I imagine there isn't the strength for that yet on DS but you never know with all the new guys arriving for BB4!

As for your US BB invitation... I accept!

She told the other HMs that her younger sister had committed murder... it could not be broadcast in the State concerned !

Great!!!

That makes 2 of us then.

I know there were a couple that signed up last year so hopefully more than 5 will.

I think DS reporters did something like that last year anyway but it always helps when the forums chip in. You would have thought with the size of this place they could.

During US BB2 the net fans were chipping into the kitty (via paypal) towards flying banner planes over the house all the time!

I might have to download that then. Didn't they censor the feeds? Do they still allow you to perv on them (girls) in the shower?

Yes you can watch the guys and girls in the shower! As I understand it the live feeds were interfered with only in the State concerned.

I am watching the aussie BB through the shows posted on the newsgroup/mirc room. I am not bothering with the live feed this year, as the picture quality I was getting this year was really bad. I also download the US shows and subscribe to the feeds - wasn't that Danielle woman compelling viewing last year? I would love to see threads for these BB's on here. I have been searching the net looking for a decent forum for the aus one and so far Jokers seems the best, but not a patch on DS.

Ooh another follower. Yes Danielle was a very, very snidey bitch. I hated her DR entries and yet she claimed it was helping to further herself in the game. I think she was on the verge of a breakdown in the last few days but alas they censored the feeds. I was a little dissapointed with the 3rd series though, maybe because the 2nd series was so good.

So how did you first get into USBB? I've been with it since BB1 because the quality of the feeds were far superior to the UK ones. UK was 34kbps-80kbps but then i found the US series 2 weeks in and it had 5 x 300kbps different streams that were locked at that (no buffering). This was way back when BB was never on E4 and i was on broadband trials.

Maybe i will bump into you on the Bomis site this summer.

I only discovered US BB were available to UK folks last year and subscribed to it straight away. I didn't really know what to expect, but because I had enjoyed the aussie feeds so much, I thought I would take a gamble. Not really like any BB I had ever seen before, but I was absolutely hooked watching all the backstabbing, plotting and alliances going on. I was suprised when I saw them redoing bits of the tasks, so it looked better for the tv show! I also think I must have been alone in liking Gerry.

The quality of the feeds were excellent and my only real gripe was being shown the front of the house so often (where did they get that really dreadful music from) - made the chicken cam seem more entertaining! I spent all my time on the Keith-X forum, which I have bookmarked ready for this year.

What is really worrying me is how on earth I am going to manage to fit in all the overlapping of the BB shows, I think sleep will just become a fond distant memory

Then it will be time for Fame Academy and did I hear someone mention that Pop Idol 2 will be later this year?

Mirage it must have been real eye opener with all the changes to take in but their first season of BB in the states was just like ours except it flopped. The DR is totally different over there, they have people to turn in there. If they didn't i think a lot of them would lose it. They did rape the feeds an awful lot last year compared to BB2, i just hope they chill this time round.

What channel on irc are you using? Is it #survivor-central? If not i'll pm you the links.

I use the EFnet server and go in #Big-Brother.

For some reason I don't seem able to connect to many IRC servers just now and keep getting very strange connection messages from Dalnet if anyone can enlighten me on what it means: Closing Link: 0.0.0.0 (Exploited clients. Contact exploits@dal.net for assistance [exp/comp])

If there is something not set up correctly with my mirc or firewall, I would appreciate if anyone has any suggestions.
