iPod Nano or Sony NWA806?

I'm on a MP3 Hunt..And recently spotted this Sony player as a rival for the iPod. I like it's (Quoted) better battery life, slightly bigger screen, and video playback, which will be useful for those funny Youtube videos. Only bad thing..is Sonicstage, Which I've heard bad things about. Does anyone have one of these?

Get the nano. You won't regret it (well, unless you suddenly decide you want more space in which case you might regret not buying the regular iPod).

I've used an iPod nano for 15 Months now..And was looking for a bit of a change, and not just a brighter screen. I haven't really used the new one, I'll have a proper look at both. Any Sony owners around?

Wouldn't touch a Sony ..... software is just too crap. (Although better than it was)

You looked at the iAudio D2? Bigger/better screen than the Sony. Battery life almost as good. More features. 4gb flash expandable with SD cards (costs buttons, up to 8gb - 12gb total .... nice!). Touch screen. Excellent manufacturer support (firmware updates etc). No drivers, software etc required (as long as your PC isn't prehistoric!) .... true UMS device so drag and drop whatever you want from any computer ..... truly portable (as these things should be IMO).

If I didn't already have it's big brother, I'd be thinking about getting one .....

(although, to be fair, they are still getting a few bugs ironed out of the current firmware .... still looks like a damn fine player tho!)

I actually had one of these Sony players a couple of weeks ago.

It's nice, the interface looks nice but can be quite awkward.

SonicStage is awful though, as is Sony Connect.

I'd stick with the iPod, personally.

I'm most likely getting the iPod, Because i like the interface, screen is good, and is very simple to use, and that Sony looks like it has too many buttons. Blue or Green?

And another thing:
I've used the 2G nano before, and I've noticed it's a lot slower than mine, and freezes a lot. This was the only one I've used, so are they all like that?

Ensure it's got the latest firmware on there.

Well I used another Nano today, and it was much faster! I like the new design as well, I wont be scared of dropping that, after seeing what happens to a Mini after its dropped.
