Just curious really. If you see a band/artist you like/know, then comment on them

The Used
Linkin Park
Finch
Underoath
blink-182
From First To Last
Taking Back Sunday
My Chemical Romance (most well known out of all)
Fightstar
Saosin
Funeral for a Friend
Lostprophets

It's all kind of rock/metal/alternative.
Favourites out of my list of faves (at the moment) are Finch, From First To Last and Saosin.

Nope, I think your taste in music is (hopefully) fairly unique.

I wouldn't say that. It's mostly emo and punk pop

The bold ones are the ones I listen to; haven't heard of most of the others, but I might check them out sometime.

I love The Used, MCR and Taking Back Sunday but some of the others are pretty good too.

Have you heard of Cute Is What We Aim For, 30 Seconds To Mars or Kill Hannah cause they fit that general stereotype and they are pretty neat bands.

Love these bands! Especially The Used, who are very underrated IMO. I got to see them last time they were in the UK and they completely blew me away. Bert's voice was amazing and the crowd were absolutely mental (and generally a lot older than I imagined they would be, which was a relief really)

I adore Taking Back Sunday, and Blink 182 are quite good too.

Definitely wouldn't label myself as an Emo though.

Yep, I have both 30 Seconds To Mars and CIWWAF's albums. Seeing 30StM in August (I think) in London.

I suppose it is quite emo, but I wouldn't classify Underoath, Finch or Linkin Park as emo. More metal/rock.

Also check out Madina Lake if you like some of the bands I mentioned. Seeing them in October at the London Forum. Awesome band with an awesome debut album, "From Us, Through Them, To You".

WHO said this was bad taste?! You my friend have an excellent taste in music!
I like...

The Used
Linkin Park

Finch
Underoath
blink-182

From First To Last
Taking Back Sunday
My Chemical Romance

Fightstar
Saosin
Funeral for a Friend
Lostprophets

However I normally tend to go for more power pop/rock groups like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the disco, Gym Class Heroes (well thats more rap), Bloc Party etc.

But I know 3 people who would list exactly the same bands as you, so you're deffo not alone!

I also Listen to Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco, but I'm not a fan of Bloc Party as such.

Good that people are starting to agree with my taste

I quite like Finch from that list, but the others I'm not too keen on. MCR are alright in small doses though. I can't comment on Saosin or From First to Last, as I'm not familiar with them.

What about Karlheinz Stockhausen? He practically invented this emo stuff!

You've just replicated exactly my son's MP3 playlist (adding on Fallout Boy and PATD) so you're definitely not alone in your taste

I really like the ones I've heard and bought (The Used, Linkin Park, Finch, Blink 182, My Chemical Romance, Fallout Boy and PATD) as well, despite being....errr...somewhat older

I'll check out the other names mentioned above...always on the look-out for good new music

All i have to say is your taste in music is very narrow and selective! Have you contemplated listening to something outside the genre? Or are you happy fuelling a stereotype?

Don't get me wrong i do like some bands on the list, and i do have albums by some off these artists/groups, your list just seems to be missing the icons that appear most people list. I am talking about icons like Bowie, Lennon, Prince, Dylan, Zepplin etc....

Agree with the above post about broadening the horizons of your taste. I do always feel a bit annoyed when people say that you should listen to artists from a totally different generation just because thay are "legends".
Surley the whole point of being a legend is that you inspire artists that come after you that then mould the music into a more modern take on society/life. Most "legends" music is freely available to hear on the radio everyday and if it stood out to someone they would go and listen to more anyway!

My musical taste is quite varied. Anything from DJ Hixxy, Queen, Linkin Park through to Moby ticks my boxes as do 3 or 4 from the original list from the op.
