You have an @hotmail address.

@live.co.uk is just another domain, like @aol.com, @btinternet.com etc.

I got my firstname@live.co.uk in November last year. They found out and stopped the workaround within 2-3 days, so be quick if you want one of these addresses.

Apparently they didn't mind that people managed to get the addresses before so you shouldn't be too worried about them deleting the addresses.

I got my first name and last name last year.

Yeah they won't delete them, but they will stop people signing up for the @live accounts when they find out.

Saying that, they are already on to it. When you create one of these @live.co.uk addresses just now, you get an e-mail saying you must confirm whether this e-mail address is to be used by clicking a confirmation link.

The Netherlands can already get @live address at the moment but I'm guessing they're holding off elsewhere until they can get the conversion of contacts etc sorted. They've had long enough though - it was announced a year ago.

that's because you haven't read the instructions properly. You also have to remove the "1" further down where it says "&hm=1"

I'm not sure. People sell mobile numbers on there, is it not the same thing? e.g. personalised items?

I use my firstname @ live for messanger, and it's nice and simple to give out rather than my_nickname_is_this_444_666_2007@whatever.

Oh by the way, any police officers want officer@live.co.uk?

Better go have it and give it away rather than have it and never use it.

I've signed up 3 today, and I have my existing one from last year, so I have 4 altogether. One of those I signed up for mate for when they get back from holiday, so I've signed up two for me.

Cool, just got my name, @live.co.uk.

Couldn't get live.com though. Must be due to having a UK IP address.
