I agree with you both as well, Alex has been the only HM, who has held my interest out of all the BB's and can't see that changing in the near future. Wish him well and will continue to follow whatever he decides to do careerwise with interest.

How right you are. BB will not be the same without Alex. But no worries ! Alex's star shines so bright.... there is now no doubt that he will continue to entertain us for many years to come.

Why do his critics always seem to cite his voice as a 'reason' for disliking him? (see previous posts above) That's what the Essex accent sounds like. I note David Beckham gets similarly attacked for his voice too....
Is there some kind of anti-Essex accent prejudice going on from people presumably mostly from other parts of the country outside the south-east?

I rather like it myself, but then I suppose I'm used to hearing it all the time down here. If there is a BB4 contestant from Essex, s/he has my sympathies

I love Alex's voice and accent.
I could never understand people saying there was anything wrong with it. I find it expressive and very easy to listen to, but then I am from that part of the country so maybe thats why it appeals to me.

There was quite a lot of Alex in that documentary tonight. I thought someone posted that he wasn't going to be on it

And for any Angels who missed it they showed the domestos ad, the lick my arse bit, his reaction to booing of Adele plus an interview with him in his kitchen.

It looked spotless.

Alex as always was honest, he said he has been given chance to do some things that would otherwise have been denied him, ie. being on the radio ect.
Surely that doesn't make him a "wannabe", it must make him an "IS"

It's not the accent, it's the vocal quality - Alex has a monotone delivery, like Ken L which is probably better suited to horse racing commentary than to light entertainment. Becks has a much higher-pitched voice than you expect from such a macho-looking geezer. I do hope people don't think that everyone in the South-East drones/squeaks like them!

Whatever it is in their voices, and btw I do not agree with your description of Alex's voice, it is a very shallow reason for not liking someone. I think Alex has a lovely voice.

I am from Essex, and if people judge me by my accent, of which I am not ashamed, then as far as I am concerned they are shallow and they are not worth the time of day.

Macho-looking?!!! Don't get me wrong, I don't consider macho a good look, but David Beckham is decidedly not macho-looking.
