02 have it on pay and go for 149.99. I can get 30 quid off the handset price by upgrading as well

Is it as good as it looks?

Buy it!

I got it on the 10th and it is excellent! Mine is the SE K800i Silver. It is £20/month for 1000 texts and 100mins (Normal or Video call). I'm with '3'. I used to doubt them but they have managed to make themselves very good - Internet TV is brilliant!

I had the K750i and had wanted the K800i since it came out. I can say i am impressed overall (Much similar to K750i).

The only thing i miss is the loudness it plays music... They took out 'Mega Bass' so now its 'Bass' funtionality ain't great... if you want great sounding music don't go with this phone... Also the 'Video' camera is horrific! it is ancient QCIF(?) quality... 15fps. They have upgraded this to VGA 30fps on the K850i.

It is a shame you cannot use the Video Call camera to take videos as it is VGA...

Having upgraded from the K750i to the K800i three months ago and pretty much agree with all of that (especially the lack of mega bass on the K800i)

Overall I prefer the more solid feel of the K800i over the K750i

I bought the SE k800i & the Nokia 6288 on 3 on the same day.

Apart from the k800i feeling more solid & the good quality camera on the k800i, i think that the Nokia 6288 beats the k800i on everything else.

i personally would not buy the k800i again.

The video camera on the 6288 is like having a camcorder in your pocket at all times, it is excellent. ( as long as you configure it for the highest quality.)

It means you are connected to the 'Video serice area'.

In otherwards, the areas in which you can get the full 'Planet3'.

I got my k800i coming tomorrow

g/f had one before that had no end of problems including dead pixels on the screen then losing all its settings after the phone was switched off.

Think she was just unlucky though as everyone i know that has one has been fault free.

I have had one since they were released and had one problem with mine. I somehow flashed it connecting it to the PC, it destroyed the software. O2 sent a new one and had no problems since.

It means your in a 3g area, which you need to be to make video call, and have the faster internet.

I'm on my 3rd one now. 1. the camera stopped working 2. just died on me, after having the phone for 2 days. 3. Still working fine 6 months on.

I think like with most SE phones, there are always a few doggy ones in the first realse. But if your getting one now, since there over a year old. They should all be good.
