Bit of Jade news - she's been picked to front a health campaign run by Marie Curie Cancer Care charity (the campaign is sponsored by Quorn) to motivate people to live a healthier, fitter life now to avoid illness in later life.

The national campaign is called Commit To Get Fit. No other details at the mo.

Less than 3 hours after BB4 finishes, E4 are repeating What Jade Did Next.

Their scheduling is BB4 up to 11.05 pm, then Friends, Shock Video, V Graham Norton and (more) Shock Video as the entree for WJDN at 1.40am early Saturday morning.

BB2 fans don't forget to catch Helen Adams on loose women next week and the following week I believe.........Federico also makes an appearance Tue or Fri I think.....

On her Capital show on Sunday, Kate said that they were really pleased because the programme had got its best ever listening figures. I imagine contracts will be up for renewal in October, so this looks like good news.
I've spent a bit of time looking for any supporting information. I haven't found any specifically about their programme, but the recently released Rajar figures are mentioned in a Media Guardian article which discusses Capital but concentrates on breakfast.

She also mentioned that she had received an e-mail asking about her and Ray. She said very clearly that the newspaper report was untrue. Ray also said on BB Diaries that it was a load of bleep, they hadn't slept together but they had kissed. He actually sounded sincere to me.
There is no doubt that denial is the second phase of a publicity process, but it is also the valid reaction to an untruth.

A thread on this subject was closed following heavy argument. I avoided posting in the 'full heat' and I'm only raising it now because she did. I hope we can avoid repeating the bile and the course of the original thread.

Kate has said in the past that the 3am girls were her least favourite of the tabloid press, based on previous experience. Anything they say about their targets I take with an extra pinch of salt.
With her present success, I doubt that she wants or needs this sort of publicity. Six or nine months ago it may have been different. On the other hand, It's possible that Ray's agents could feel he does already need it to maintain his perceived Beatlemania level of adulation, but my favourite is the ongoing 3am issue..

It may have been her idea, but I suspect the party was inspired by the docu-makers. I also suspect that her mentioning it in advance was an attempt to avoid this type of article by being open about it. If so, it didn't work, but that does not mean it wasn't the intention.
The article doesn't mention the time the party finished, and the convincing sources are (from memory) a spy and an insider. Kate and Ray were on RI:SE the next morning (Thursday) along with Jon (and Fed?). I know there's makeup, but none of them looked the worse for wear to me.

Indeed, having declined to do his allotted piece on tv once earlier in the week due to tiredness/fragility, he did do it with the mediocrity consistent with his first attempt.
Thursday was also the morning where Kate managed to come out with Anna Korkinova in the first news piece. The way she dealt with that and even turned it into something funny/positive was not the product of someone with severe sleep deprivation.

None of this proves anything, but I think it's clear where I stand. It's time to post some good news to balance the account, so I say well done on the Capital listening figures.

If Kate's & Andi's radio show was really doing well, then Capital radio would be singing its praises just as it is doing with the slight improvement witnessed for its morning efforts.

The fact that Kate's weekly effort gets no mention whatsoever (anywhere) indicates that it is still a dead duck.

In this context hosting would appear to mean pre-recorded links as he's currently live on radio.

That kind of press Kate was responding to would not be liked by Capitalfm, the content was very very offensive, enough to cause concern for the profile of the station and Kate - there will be talks behind the scenes Im sure with the type of content some of the papers are inventing and by whom it has been proposed/backhanded from and to.

I too think that the party was a suggestion from the BB programme maker/ broadcaster and Kate has been naive and or obliged.

Maxiii, I largely agree. My only doubt is that there was a game of Spin the Bottle. A kiss, if there was one, would probably have been part of that, and therefore unimportant imo, or even 'nothing'.

She would likely deny it because she did not get off with Adele as such.

On the DVD if you use headphones, it can be presumed towards the end of the scene (with the three of them under the covers) yes that Adele and Kate kissed, but it can also be heard that Alex spoke with quite a dis-respectfull tone to Adele when he was rushing to smother Kate's mouth with his.
Both Kate and Alex were momentarily dismissive with Adele, verbally treating her like a past convenience for a few long moments whilst they kissed at length.

She was'nt lying to us the viewers, she knew we could see what was going on.
She probably felt an intrusion of whatever privacy she could afford for herself and the bloke she really fancied - Alex.
Then she could also have felt she wanted to keep Jonny and his interference out of her private games with Alex.

If Jonny could get her to talk about the van then he would be able to talk at Alex about it, and Kate would instinctively 'know' that without even having to think about it. The protective instinct

Kate was never trying to fool anyone, she was merely expressing views in exactly the way teenagers do so she could be identified with by those very teenagers - she has an audience to keep identifying with and a radio show to keep up.
Adults are not supposed to be fooled by her remarks.
