Cheers - that made me laugh.

The iPhone does look nice + is good for music/photos, but nothing else.

I went for the Nokia E65 in the end after I looked into the iPhone.

The GPS takes a while to lock on, sometimes 5-10 minutes, but they are hoping to fix this in future firmware updates. You have to pay for the nokia navigation, but you can put nav4all on it for free (without maps) but it counts down to the next turn and tells you which way.

The browsing is fine, works really well, I've put Opera on it in addition to the nokia browser, they are different and Opera is better for some things, nokia better for others.

The amount of apps you can get is good, loads of online radio players and things, I love it, it's the best phone I've ever had.

The camera and video on N95 are great too. Only thing is, the whole thing is a bit sensitive and sometimes switches itself off if you switch applications too quickly.

I did have a look into the N95, but it was a little too big and I've heard lots of problems with the slider (somebody I know is on his 4th) + it locking up a lot.

There was not to much extra on the N95 that intrested me either (not bothered about the better camera or the sat nav).

Why is that? I thought it was coming to the whole of the UK at the end of the year?

yes. which is why i used a past tense. you could not have had an iphone when you decided to buy your E65. at some unspecified time in Q4 of this year there will be a version (specifications still unknown) of the iphone available here.

Sorry - should have put in there that I decided to go for the E65 instead of waiting for the iPhone.

Still I could have got one off of Ebay at the time if I really wanted one, but I'm not that stupid to pay hundreds for a SIM free one:

Couldn't be bothered reading most of it , but from the first few bits I came to the conclusion the guy is, fat, bearded (with bits of food trapped in it) and cannot afford an iPhone.

If he wasn't jealous of it, why make a webpage?

But then you would have ended up with a really expensive iPod, as it doesn't work as a phone over here.

I thought it would work in the UK, as they are quadband phones?

But locked to AT&T and has to be activated via iTunes with a US account. Hackers have been at it for weeks - they can get it activated but still cannot get the phone part to work with a non AT&T SIM card.

You will have to wait for the UK version.
