Did anyone else get the impression that most of the people who complained about big brother were only disappointed that they *haven't* actually had this amazing career after the show?
It seems they were just bitter that they've had to go back to having fairly normal lives
Just my $0.02, of course

Good point, but the programme was called 'The Curse of Big Brother'

I always thought there would be a bunch of housemates that would have this reaction. They all go in there thinking they will have a glittering media career ahead of them, no matter how much the head doctors try to beat it into them that they won't.

You will never convince me that any applicant does not have an eye on the possibilities for the future.

Even taking into account cable channels and local radio stations of the 35+ HMs in the three series there are very few who have even had the slightest success in TV radio etc.

Mind you there do seem to be a lot turning up now BB4 about to start.

Wonder if the likes of Bubbles, Sada etc thought this programme was the 'just one more chance and I'll make', I would hope not cos if they did they really deserve pity, for not having learnt.

and when he showed Jade and the rest of the world his A***,
What must the rest of the world think of us!!!!.

Before Sandy Alexander decided he was going to go over the wall, he was up for getting his Skirt off wasn't he?.

And Adele, they showed 'one' clip of her being 2 faced. How much of a T*T does she feel when she sees herselve being sooooo nasty. She said she has to go out in disquise, doesn't make eye contact with the public. She wouldn't have to live ike that if she had been a nicer person when she was in the BB house, would she!!!.
”

The more I read your posts, the more I am convinced the ghost of LC lives on.

You just cannot hardly ever let a post go by without mentioning Alex, you must love him really. Remember there is a very thin line between love and hate.

The others all looked good in the buff. Jade was fat and horrible

Oh, lol

Penny doing her In the kitchen, Out of the kitchen routine

What a nutter

Notice how Caggy now looks like Joan River's mother, bit OTT on the facelifts, methinks

Helen is adorable and seems totally unspoilt

I thought the programme was very interesting. I missed the first half as I was walking back from the pub so I only saw BB3 housemates and CBB housemates but it was still a good watch

I never liked Helen very much in BB but I have to now admit she is probably one of the few ex-housemates not to be scarred in some way by their experience. Good on her.

I think Dean probably summed it all up the best when he said it is like putting your hand on a table and knowing it is going to get hit with a hammer. You know it will be painful but until you actually get hit nothing can prepare you for just how much.

It was good to see the clips from the previous shows too, but for me the whole 'Nasty Nick' episode was a waste of air time, the round the table scene with Craig was just pitiful. It would have been far better to watch if Darren had just lamped him one and got it over with

I think you all may have missed a sizeable hint for BB4. The feng shui (?sp) expect said:

“It's odd - each year the producers invite me into the house to see what's wrong with the house - then to leave it. You see there are two types of house - a good balanced house, and a spiky house - think about a house with a lot of straight edges.”

Spiky house? Straight edges? Doubt you could really say that the new house is either - could this be a new direction by big brother?

Im afraid Im going to blot my copybook again Alrightmate. I suppose I expected him to be be more cantankerous and single folk out, but maybe he didnt get the chance. The article he did last week was still terrible, and he was a grumpy old mean guy on the show.

Think he has a rosy historical view of his great escape. He was making out how he wanted to go out on his terms and with a bit of style etc, but actually I think the truth is he made an ass of himself the night before when drunk, couldnt handle the thought of having to hang around all day after his behaviour, and then the interview was on his mind too. I think he just panicked and bolted.

Having said that, the guy looked a bit more cheery away from the pressure cooker (whereas the rest apart from Nick managed to look cheery in the house too). The big mistake was applying for the show.

The Feng shui people are certainly 'interesting'
The original house though did look somewhat brutally harsh, very cold and uncomfortable.
--------
As for curse show itself..... i just felt really sad for most of them. It still seems like for many of the ex-housemates, they still place some much emphasis on that tiny part of their lives.

It really made me wonder why the hell i even applied myself to be in that show - clearly, there is a truly reckless part of me.
Knowing the UK media as we all do, any contestant going into the house is sadly walking in cauldron of hot lava.

Calrissian : At least Helen seemed reasonably okay.

I wonder if the people going in tonight could watch TV last night? The programme would certainly have given me some last minute doubts.

The exec producer person put it well when she said it was a risk, sometimes it pays off, sometimes it leads to disaster.

This year's bunch are certainly going to be a lot more media savvy after Jade & Adele's experiences last year.

You're right, they'll go in tonight and the thought will be running around their head "I don't want to do this, I do want to do that" - I wonder if anyone will take the Spencer approach and just sit on the sofa while the rest run around like schoolkids?
Either way though, the adrenalin will begin to pump, they'll over analyse what the "competition" is doing, they'll want to get noticed and the masks will slip and the real person will be laid bare.

I have to agree I always thought it was too much of a coincidence that he left stright after "The weeing in the Bin".

He was a horrid man and gives the older contestants a bad name,

From what I've heard, the program last night is nothing compared to the talk of doom the final 90 / 50 / 30 get. At some point it is the candidate & the producers & your very own talk of doom, up close & personnal.

I think I overdid myself with the niceness about him last night. Started to feel guilty

mind you, he did seem more relaxed and a bit nicer last night. Dont think the bitterness is gone tho, and blaming everyone else and putting a spin on his own actions etc.

he must be easy to spot in central London, going about on a bike like that with the scarf etc. Some folk probably think theyve just spotted Dr Who

maybe the bitterness has gone, I dunno. He took part in their little humorous sketch.

1 thing I will say, I found his naked body more pleasing to the eye than Jades naked body

it will be interesting to see how many of this years bb contestants enjoy their experience. The sky one show had spencer, pj, lee sophie, tim and jade's mum pointing out the downsides of fame, and the curse of bb pointed out things that Sandy, alex, adele and tim didn't like. No wonder Kate and Jonny won they were the only ones who were able to enjoy themselves!
