Macrovision Decoders

Can anyone recommend a good Macrovision encryption device available to buy in the UK? It would be to use with a Pioneer DVD525 Multi region.

Many Thanks.

I take it you are after something to disable macrovision. If that's the case, then upgrading the Multiregion E-MOD would be your best bet.
http://www.techtronics.com is by far the best place for these as only the techtronics E-MOD
is fitted externally and so would not invalidate any warranty.
I bought my DVD525 for them with the full E-MOD in place and the macrovision is permanently disabled.
This E-MOD also improves the Multiregion hack to allow playback of RCE titles.
You would have to send the player away, but that's free of charge.
The total cost is £98.70, but when you see the end result you will be impressed.

Thanks Madman, I have looked at TecTronics Site.

Thinking about it, I was wondering whether I will need to replace my current JVC VCR, when I record from DVD -> Video, the picture is there, but loses it vertical hold. Is this the NTSC format problem, with the Video, rather then the DVD using Macrovision ?

You won't be able to record NTSC to your UK video recorder, unless (very unlikely) you've got a dual-system video _recorder_. Many PAL VHS machines have the ability to play back NTSC, although very few actually have the ability to record from it.

Hope this clears it up for you,
Mark
