We hear lots of changes are about to take place on Tiscali TV this Summer. However very little information on actual launch date has out of Tiscali except "July" and "Over the Summer - Does any have the latest on:

According to other posts and threads this box is now being trialed with a select custmer group and is to be launched in July - we are now in the final weeks of July with still now word on a launch date from Tiscali TV

Anyone heard the latest?
Anyone taking part in the trail and got any feedback on the new box?
Have they put a fan in them this time so the don't overheat all the time like the current boxes?

The news / press statement has gone out annoucing we are going to get the full suite of Sky basic channels over the next few weeks / summer.

Does anyone have any possible dates of launch?
Will it include any On Demand elements ie Sky News Feeds etc...
Any news on any other channels comeing to Tiscali - Virgin's (old Flextech) basic channel suite i.e. Living, Bravo, Trouble, ftn and Challenge?

[LIST][*]Faster Internet Broadband ADSL2[/LIST]

Lots of Telephone Exchange upgrades took place this year does that mean we will get ADSL2 ie up to 16 / 24 meg broadband soon like Sky and O2's Be? Presumably this is needed before HD TV Content can be broadcast across the network too.

It would be good to hear if anyone who has any insight or infomation

It great to see tiscali TV is making move in all the right directions - just love to have the services they mentioned.

I had an engineer round mine yesterday, to replace my STB which finally broke down after 2 years of good service. He said the new STB will be available 'in a couple of months'

I spoke to a customer services rep today regarding my contract and also asked him a couple of questions....

Firstly, expect the new boxes to come around september time....he was vague about how its gonna be distributed, obviously didn't know so i dont know whether it'll be given first to new customers and how it'll be offered to existing subscribers. He said we'd either be called or emailed regarding this.

Secondly, he said the new box is slightly bigger than the current one but looks good in his opinion.

Regarding the sky channels, expect things to happen in september.

supposedly september is a big month, prices will be changed again and offers being....er....offered. Something like 8mb with big pack for 19.99 or something.

September was what i was told about Sky - so a confirmation of sorts.. I was also told the new STB has been in testing since March, September would be 6months testing.
