BT Softphone abroad
I have BT's Softphone installed on my laptop. Can I use the service from anywhere in the world via a bb connection or only the UK?
I want to be able to call UK landline numbers from Taiwan, Australia, Thailand and Amsterdam. Thanks all.

Absolutely. I used BT Softfone on a recent trip to Canada and it saved me a bundle!
Unless you subscribe to anytime calls, be careful to ensure you call during the offpeak hours [UK time] to completely avoid charges. The free wireless internet services in some hotels are not really up to a consistent speed for making good VOIP calls so that may be something to keep in mind. Try and find hotels where you can find guest reviews of the services. |

Thanks.
Yep I've got the Anytime package so hopefully it'll save me a fortune. I'm used to getting £200 mobile bills after a trip. This'll be interesting... |
