edit.... damn someone beat me to it. For the non geeks out there with
MacOS X, ROT13 can be done on the terminal window.

First copy to clipboard the text to be ROT13 'ed
then in command line:

pbpaste | tr 'a-zA-Z' 'n-za-mN-ZA-M' | pbcopy

The clipboard now contains the encoded/decoded text which can be pasted anywhere.

Thank god you did it Iain, I had just typed out the whole tract d e a d s l o w l y, when I hit the wrong button and lost it.

Just a couple of points.

1 The poster was called Getcha (nearly gotcha??)

2 It was posted at 14:12

3 It was the members 1st post

4 Topic headline was The REAL names of the hm's

For myself I reckon its BB getting even more crafty trying to keep everyone occupied.

I am not very good at cyphers, I will have a go, but I would appreciate anyone actually comin up with real message.

Probably says 'This should keep you sad individuals busy till 8.30 tonight'

Plus I do not like that Wrzzn Terra 29, Terra whould be hard to crack.

Where's there an Enigma Machine when you want one?

and for a bonus point ........can you tell us where they come from

For reference for anyone interested, the code is "ROT13" which is a simple letter-shift of 13 places e.g. ABC becomes NOP etc - and to decrypt you do the same, as 13+13 would shift the letter 26 places back to its original value. You can easily un-ROT13 text at www.rot13.com.

What no Jack amongst those names then?

Thanks very much, I feel a right twit, in the time it took me to type out my message the entire members of the forum had cracked it.

H77 showing he's an idiot ...... again.

It is getting a bit fragrant isn't it?

Don't like Troy Ace, Karl Clary, Toni Yettie.

Has anyone searched for 'Korjuslommi' in any search engines or those clever electoral role cd roms yet?

That's 13 contestants
and the average age of the first 12 is 27, not 25

Just done a couple of searches and on ask.co.uk. TROY KORJUSLOMMI works as a Linux operater in Helsinki.

Now call me a cynic, but I reckon some ones being cute transpossing names he's got from the net. And he has made it just hard/easy enough to get people interested.

Its probably BB himself.

I think it's equally likely to be the real names of the contestants rot-13'd as unencrypted... Wrzzn Terra and Xney Pynel sound just as likely as Troy Ace and Ian Korjuslommi.

Go Xney!
