Yay, I adore Feist. Watch the video on YouTube, amazingly it was done in one shot (no camera tricks just very clever choreography). Also, I highly recommend her latest album, it's one of my favourites of this year .

What a wonderful fun video to go with such a great song....makes you want to get up and skip around!

Have to say though that the vid can't have been done with one shot.....some very clever camera trickery going on especially with the first appearance of the dancers and also the way they disappear at the end of the song......unless anyone else can explain how it was done??

From the lady herself:

Quote:
“"That is absolutely one shot, no cheating or trickery," Feist says, sounding mighty pleased. "The people were in that room the whole time! It's just the genius of [choreographer] Noemi Lafrance and [director] Patrick Daughters that they managed to make people ask questions like that!" Any mirage was the result of hard work, of course. The dancers spent three days blocking their moves, and when Feist arrived, they filmed 17 takes in one day, "and only finished five of them," Feist says. "The [computer-controlled] camera was on an enormous robotic crane, twisting and turning in that enormous warehouse. And either the camera would go awry or we would go awry, too, so we'd have to stop.

"But at the end, we were all shaking our heads. I don't think I've had so much fun since elementary school."”

Thanks for that! I've watched the vid again a couple more times and while the beginning makes sense in the angle of the camera shot keeping the dancers out of view until they start tumbling onto the screen from behind Feist, the ending has my brain frazzled.....how the hell can so many dancers simply disappear from view so easily and still not be seen even when Feist takes a bow?

Great vid all the same.......reminds me a bit of the Daft Punk one for "Around The World" in the respect of the tight choreography!

I'm not too fond of the song, but I really like the start and the end of the video. I'd love to know how it was done.

Don't care too much for the original, but the VanShe remix is one of my tunes of the year.

I find she seems to work better remixed myself. I got her album for some reason and I don't like it, but the Boys Noize remix of 'My Moon My Man' is great.
